KXIP won by 5 wickets-Cricketmovie.com

Dream11 IPL Match 38: KXIP chances are still alive in this season after beating DC by 5 wickets. Now I will share the details of this IPL game match in my way.

38th Game (Kings XI Punjab Vs Delhi Capitals)
Game Date: 20th Oct 2020
Details:
Delhi Capitals captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and elected to bat first in the 38th game of IPL 2020. DC included Kagiso Rabada, Marcus Stoinis, Daniel Sams and Shimron Hetymer as four foreign players for this game. Three changes in DC playing XI and they have included Rishabh Pant, Shimron Hetymer and Daniel Sams in place of Ajinkya Rahane, Alex carey and Anrich Nortje.

Four foreign players of KXIP for this game was Chris Gayle, Glenn Maxwell, James Neesham and Nicholas Pooran. One change in their playing squad and they have included James Neesham in place of Chris Jordan.

Delhi Capitals scores 164/5 in their 20 overs. Dhawan scores yet again a unbeaten century and rest of DC just 58 in 59 balls. They are surely short of some 15 runs on this surface. It all started with Pant struggling to time the ball and KXIP smartly used Maxi‘s defensive bowling. Stoinis never got going and Hetmyer didn’t get many freebies as KXIP bowlers bowled beautifully in death overs. Shikhar Dhawan scored 106* of 61 balls and Shreyas Iyer scored 14 of 12 balls. For KXIP Mohammed Shami picks 2 wickets for 28 runs in his 4 overs.

Kings XI Punjab chase though started off on an uncharacteristic note as their openers went early today but run rate was very good. Gayle sparkled a bit but the show didn’t go on for long. But Pooran made up for it and played some lusty shots to keep KXIP ahead of the 8-ball all the time. In the end, the chase was done and dusted with an over to spare. Nicholas Pooran scored 53 runs 28 balls and Glenn Maxwell scored 32 in 24 balls. For DC Kagiso Rabada picks 2 wickets for 27 runs in his 4 overs quota.

DC: 164/5 in 20 overs
KXIP: 167/5 in 20 overs

Result: KXIP won by 5 wickets
Man of the Match: Shikhar Dhawan

Durgesh Tiwary’s View : Congratulations to KXIP for their consecutive wins. From being one time wooden spooners to three wins on the bounce, KXIP have ridden the creats and troughs in the IPL like no other. They have been able to turn the tide and that too against the three top ranked teams and now they are at no 5 from last position. Everything is going in favor of KXIP this time as bowlers are not giving runs in death overs and middle order batting is improving and finishing the game. They surely have momentum with them now and need to carry for their further games as well.

For DC no much improvement needed. Today was not their day except Dhawan no any batsmen able to score runs that the reason they 20-30 sort from a good target but they need to accept the fact that KXIP executed their plans better then them. Bowlers did well today not to forget they had rested Nortje today who is their main bowler. Still they are in top position and set to qualify for the play-offs.
