Story: Aziz Ali aka Ajju (Farhan Akhtar) is an orphan who was raised by Jafar Bhai (Vijay Raaz). Aziz now lives with his friend Munna (Hussain Dalal) in Dongri, Mumbai and does all the dirty work for Jafar bhai. While thrashing a restaurant owner over a feud he gets injured and goes to a charitable hospital for treatment where the doctor Ananya Prabhu (Mrunal Thakur) ousts him after learning that he’s a goon.
Nurse DSouza (Supriya Pathak) done the treatment. A few days later Ananya witnesses Aziz buying gifts for children in an orphanage. This makes her realize that he’s a good person at heart. Aziz visits a gym in his neighbourhood which is run by Merchant (Deven Khote). Merchant trains boxing aspirants in his premises and Aziz keeps practicing for boxing but continues working for Jafar bhai.
One day, Ananya witnesses Aziz evicting a person from his shop violently. She admonishes him and insists that he should wholly focus on boxing. Aziz realizes she’s right. When Merchant sees a potential in him, he takes Aziz to Nana Prabhu (Paresh Rawal) the best boxing coach in Mumbai. Nana however refuses at first due to Aziz’s Muslim identity because due to any Muslim terrorist her wife (Sonali Kulkarni) died in a bomb blast.
Somehow Nana agrees to train him and turns him into a top boxing player. Aziz also gets selected for the state championship where he manages to defeat a seasoned player Dharmesh Patil (Darshan Kumaar). At the same time Ajiz was dating Ananya without knowing that she is daughter of his coach Nana. But then something happens, which results in Nana disowning Aziz Ali. Something even worse happens thereafter, because of which Aziz’s career goes for a toss. But his personal life is in a happy space till one day, calamity strikes.
What is that calamity? Does Aziz Ali return to the boxing ring? Does he become the boxing champion which had been his dream since years? Does Nana Prabhu reconcile with Aziz? Do Aziz and Ananya live happily ever after?

Durgesh Tiwary’s View : When I watched the trailer of this film planned to watch o first day.
This film is on the sport of boxing. Aziz Ali is an orphan who stays on the streets of Dongri, a downmarket area in the city of Bombay. He is a collection agent and uses his muscle power for nefarious activities. He is in love with a Hindu girl, Ananya who is a doctor by profession. She guides him to take the right path in life. Aziz Ali finds his calling in boxing and trains under Nana Prabhu. He wins a boxing bout and earns a great reputation for himself.
Movie story and screen play is good in parts only. The first half mostly moves as if it is set in a template format but the last part of the pre-interval portion is quite shocking and, therefore, makes the audience sit up and take note. It could’ve easily done with deletion of content with a running time of at least 20-25 minutes. Also, emotions don’t make the audience cry which is a minus point in this kind of a story. My view on this movie (Time Pass).
