India beat England In World Cup 2023-cricketmovie.com

ICC World Cup 2023: Unbeaten Team India back to top in points table after their win against England. They won the game by 100 runs at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow. Now I will share the details of this game match in my way.

6th Game (India Vs England)
Game Date: 29th October 2023
Details:
England captain Jos Buttler won the toss and elected to field first in the 6th game of ODI World Cup 2023 against Team India at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow. No changes in Indian Team.

Team India scored 229/9 runs in their 50 overs after batting first. Opting to bowl, England’s new-ball bowlers were on the money from the word go. Not only did they remove three of the top four Indian batters, Willey and Woakes also managed to bowl a maiden each against the dangerous Rohit. Gill fell to an in-seamer, Kohli went for a duck playing an uncharacteristic stroke and Iyer was bounced out again. At 40/3, the hosts had their backs against the wall. That’s when the Indian captain and his former opening partner joined hands to steady the ship. On a pitch where stroke-making wasn’t easy, they scored at a decent rate and didn’t allow the England spinners to dictate terms. Buttler turned to Willey and the left-arm speedster broke the 91-run partnership, courtesy a rash shot from Rahul. Rohit’s scoring rate dipped after that wicket but Suryakumar Yadav came out to bat with a positive intent. The former miscued a slog and holed out to deep mid-wicket against Rashid and the legspinner also trapped Jadeja lbw for 8. SKY was in two minds batting with the tail – whether to keep/rotate strike and that resulted in a lot of dot balls. He managed to hit a six over fine leg off Wood but was dismissed for 49 when he tried to play a big shot. Bumrah and Kuldeep stitched a 21-run partnership and ensured that their team didn’t get bowled out. England will be the happier side, but the hosts have something to defend. Skipper Rohit Sharma scored 87 runs of 101 balls and Surya Kumar Yadav scored 49 runs of 47 balls. For England, David Willey picked 3 wickets for 45 runs in his 10 overs quota.

England unable to chase the target and bowled out for 129 runs in 34.5 overs and lost the game by 100 runs. India have thrashed the defending champions in front of a packed stadium in Lucknow. On a tricky two-paced deck, the hosts were asked to bat and they lost three of their top four batters for single-digit scores. Captain Rohit Sharma adapted to the conditions and top-scored with a classy 87 and forged a crucial 91-run stand with KL Rahul. SKY’s 49 and the 21-run stand for the ninth wicket took India’s total to 229. At the halfway stage, England would have been the happier side as dew had already taken effect. They even scored 30 runs off the first 27 balls, but something spectacular followed that and England were blown away. Bumrah kept bowling in the tight channels and provided the early breakthroughs via back-to-back wickets. Malan chopped on and Root was trapped plumb in front for a golden duck. Shami got the ball to nip around and was almost unplayable. Stokes tried to slog his way out of trouble but in vain as he departed for a duck and Bairstow followed him immediately. It was top-class pace bowling from the Bumrah-Shami duo. England couldn’t recover from that blow. Kuldeep bowled a ripper to clean up Buttler. That was the killer blow. Barring Siraj, all the Indian bowlers were relentless as they defended 229 comfortably. Liam Livingstone scored 27 of 46 balls and David Willey scored 16* runs of 17 balls. For Team India, Mohammed Shami picked 4 wickets for 22 runs in his 7 overs.
