Khuda Haafiz Chapter 2 Review: Movie fails to reach the level of the first part and disappoints due to the predictable storyline
Khuda Haafiz Chapter 2 Movie Rating: 2 Stars
Just watched Khuda Haafiz Chapter 2 movie on Zee5 Premium. Let’s focus on the complete details, story, positive/negatives and at last my personal view on this movie.
Cast: Vidyut Jammwal, Shivaleeka Oberoi, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Sheeba Chaddha and Rajesh Tailang
Director: Faruk Kabir
Release Date: 8th July in cinemas & Digital premiere on Zee5 Premium from 2nd September 2022
Story: It is a sequel to Khuda Haafiz. Sameer (Vidyut Jammwal) and Nargis (Shivaleeka Oberoi) are trying to lead normal lives after Sameer has gotten back Nargis from the Sultanate of Noman where she was raped multiple times. But the trauma is too much for Nargis to come out from and this is adversely affecting their married life.
Meanwhile, Deepak (Deepak Tokas) who is a friend of Sameer, faces a huge tragedy. His brother and sister-in-law pass away in an accident, leaving their five-year-old daughter Nandini (Riddhi Sharma) behind. Sameer adopts a little girl just so that Nargis could return to normalcy as her attention would at least be diverted.
However, calamity befalls the couple when Nandini is also kidnapped and raped by Basheshwar Thakur aka Bacchu (Bodhisattva Sharma) and his friends. Not just that they also murder the little child. Sameer swears revenge when the police is not too willing to help because he is is the grandson of the very powerful Sheela Thakurji (Sheeba Chaddha). Will Sameer takes his revenge despite all the odds is all about this film.

Durgesh Tiwary’s View: When I watched the trailer of this film planned to watch this movie on digital premiere instead of cinemas as this murder mystery looks good in parts but loved the first part of this film.
Sameer and Nargis after overcoming all odds, find a ray of sunshine when little Nandini enters their lives and their family is complete; But their happiness is short-lived. In a bizarre twist of fate, Nandini goes missing. Finding their daughter is the only thing that matters to the new parents and Sameer will go to any length to protect his family.
Chapter 2 story is clichéd and at the plot level as its a routine revenge drama. Screenplay is fine at parts but with the story being so predictable and without any twist, the writing doesn’t impress. Direction is also mediocre as compare to first part. The negative characters are quite intriguing and the way they get introduced, one expects a crackling second half especially when Sameer goes on a revenge spree. Unfortunately, the director fails to do justice to them. The baddies get eliminated fairly easily. In fact, the manner in which Sameer is able to kill so many people, in India and abroad, and even gets bail, despite finishing off a gangster inside the prison, is very unconvincing.
On top of it, the second half has no surprises. The first part had an interesting twist with regards to the cop character. Here, the second half is all about Sameer’s various killing episodes. Overall movie fails to reach the level of the first part and disappoints due to the predictable storyline and disturbing action scenes. My view on this movie Time Pass only if you are big fan of Vidyut Jammwal.
