And though she’s clever, Diana is reminded by Antiope (Robin Wright) that she must need be honest too.

One day at the institute, Diana meets new employee Dr. Barbara Minerva (Kristen Wiig) who is specializes in many areas. She is insecure about her looks and shy behavior and begins to look up to Diana. She is asked to aid the FBI in finding out the history of some antique pieces and artefacts seized from thieves. Diana too joins her out of curiosity as she’s the one who failed the robbery plan.

Among them is an antique stone which grants people their wish made while touching it. However, in return, that person risks losing the thing that’s most dear to him/her. For Barbara, Diana looks like the perfect package and she seems to be both in awe and envious of what she is. Barbara wishes that she was everything Diana is while Diana asks for Steve.

The next day Diana begins to gradually realizes that her wish is becoming true. The same day, aspiring businessman and TV personality Maxwell Lord (Pedro Pascal) visits the Smithsonian Institute. He is a con man trying to become the richest and the most powerful man on earth. He loves his young son, Alistair (Lucian Perez) and wants to see him happy as ever. Max expresses interest to become a partner in the institute and be friends with Barbara.

He steals the stone from Barbara under the pretext of having the writings deciphered from an expert friend. Instead of making a normal wish Maxwell wishes to become the stone and get the power to grant wishes to others. Diana must now stop Maxwell Lord from wreaking havoc on the world because of the superpowers bestowed upon him by the stone. But faced with her diminishing superpowers, Diana must think of a way to defeat Lord and Barbara (who has ditched Diana to join forces with Maxwell Lord). If she doesn’t act fast, the world would be destroyed beyond repair. What happens next forms the rest of the film.

Durgesh Tiwary’s View : When Amazon announced that this film will premiere on OTT from 15th May so planned to watch it on same day because loved the first movie and trailer also looks good for this one as well.

Diana Prince works as a demure archaeologist at the Smithsonian museum, and it is here that Diana examines an ancient stone that has the magical power to grant any person one wish. Poor, lonely Diana silently wishes to be reunited with Steve Trevor the dashing airman with whom she was once very much in love. But her nerdy colleague, maladroit gemologist Minerva, who has a beta-stalkerish fascination with the impossibly gorgeous Diana, wishes to be every bit as strong as her. And there is a third wisher is megalomaniac oil entrepreneur and museum donor Maxwell Lord who wants more than one wish, so he sneakily wishes to be turned into the stone, to become a human wishing stone, so that he can persuade any individual he meets to wish for something beneficial to his interests.

It is very engaging story which has a nice underlying message that one doesn’t need wealth and power to be happy in life. Several turns and twists are very good and some of them are also heart-touching. At the same time movie become stretched in 2nd half and could have half an hour less. It is also also implausible at several places. one shouldn’t use logic while watching a superhero film but some scenes have been written in such an over-the-top fashion that the audience is forced to question the plausibility factor.

On the whole, WW84 is an entertaining fare. It can be treated in a commercial manner and hence, has a lot of mass appeal. Definitely a good time pass for all the viewers especially who loved superheroes film. My view on this web series (Recommended)
