West Indies were all out for 317 in their 2nd innings and lost the game by an innings and 12 runs on 4th day at Wellington. For West Indies John Campbell scored 68 runs and Jason Holder 61 runs. For New Zealand Wagner and Boult picks 3 wickets each.

WI : 131 all and 317 all out.

New Zealand climb to the number 1 position in Tests after this victory.

West Indies last scored 500+ in their first innings in Khulna in Nov 2012 and Sachin Tendulkar was an active ODI cricketer and Joe Root wasn’t an England international then.

Kane Williamson finished top-scorer for the series with just that single innings of 251 runs and for WI Jermaine Blackwood become top scorer by scoring 216 runs in this test series.
