In this post, I am sharing the Confirmed list of Web-series and Movies releasing in September 2020 on OTT. As we know due to ongoing Covid-19 Pandemic cinema halls are closed until 30th September as per MHA but it is possible that it may not open in coming months due to increasing cases.
Therefore, for audiences OTT is like a cinema halls, they are enjoying different contents in form of movies and web-series on different platforms and interesting facts is that many films and Web-series are even clashing on OTT.
Here I am sharing entire list of movies and web-series releasing this month:
1. Abhay 2 (Web Series)
Release date: 4th sept, 29th Sept (Zee5 Premium)
Cast: Kunal Kemmu, Ram Kapoor, Chunky Pandey, Asha Negi, Nidhi Singh, Bidita Bag, Raghav Juval
Director: Ken Ghosh
Details: Only 2 new episodes premieres today and rest of the episodes will come on 29th Sept. The game is set to get darker and grimmer as the Villain sets Abhay up against seemingly insurmountable challenges
2. JL 50 (Web Series)
Release date: 4th sept (Sony LIV)
Cast: Abhay Deol,Piyush Mishra, Pankaj Kapoor, Rajesh Sharma and Ritika Anand
Director: Shailender Vyas
Details: When a plane gone missing 35 years ago is found, it leads to many questions and no real answers. How can a plane crash 35 years after taking off. Mystery will solve on 4th Sept.
3. Atkan Chatkan (Movie)
Release date: 5th sept (Zee5 Premium)
Cast: Lydian Nadhaswaram, Tanmay Chaturvedi

Details: Watch this inspiring story of Guddu, a child labourer with a burning passion for music, who forms a band with his friends.
4. Cargo (Movie)
Release date: 9th sept (Netflix)
Cast: Vikrant Massey, Shweta Tripathi Sharma

Details: The story is set on a spaceship named Pushpak 634A where a demon Prahastha, works for the Post Death Transition services with the help of a female astronaut, where dead people are recycled for rebirth. Prahastha, a rakshasa, knows the answer. He ‘recycles’ people after death. But will his everyday ‘desk job’ help him understand an even more important question – the meaning of life?
5. Hostages 2 (Web Series)
Release date: 9th sept (Disney Plus Hotstar VIP)
Cast: Ronit Roy, Dino Morea, Divya Dutta, Shibani Dandekar, Dalip Tahil
Director: Sudhir Mishra
Details: Prithvi, who has kidnapped Handa, is now being chased by special forces. To save his family, he has to make some tough choices. It will continue from where season 1 end with some new cast and story.
6. Forbidden Love (Movie)

Details: Forbidden Love, an array of 4 feature films directed by 4 different directors. 1st is Arranged Marriage which is directed by Pradeep Sarkar. 2nd is Anamika which is directed by Priyadarshan. Both of them will release on 9th Sept. 3rd one is Rules of the Game directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury and last one is Diagnosis of Love is directed by Mahesh Manjrekar. These 2 will release on 24th Sept.
7. Wakaalat From Home (Web Series)
Release date: 10th sept (Amazon Prime Video)
Cast: Sumeet Vyas, Nidhi Singh, Kubbra Sait, Gopal Datt, Anuvab Pal, Rit Bahadur Bayalkoti
Director: Rohan Sippy
Details: It is the story of Sujin and Radhika’s divorce. It is not amicable with claims and counterclaims. The judge decides, this not being a critical case, to move their court hearing over Video Conference. Over 10 court sessions, while the staying at home ensues, their divorce case will be heard, while their lawyers have designs of their own.
8. Tiki-Taka (Movie)

Details: New episodes of this show will premiere from 19th Sept. Post Rithvik’s and Palak’s Accident, the show takes a two-year leap. In these two years, the life of the Noons has changed, with Rithvik, who was the heart of the house, going into Coma. With Rithvik in Coma, Palak became a lifeless soul and this affected Gia tremendously. Will everything be normal again.
12. Crackdown (Web Series)

Durgesh Tiwary’s View : In my view Atkan Chatkan and London Confidential are the movies to watch out for in this month till now as they are refreshing and based on real life incidents and I am really excited for them.
In web series I will prefer Abhay 2 because available 3 episodes are amazing, Hostages season 1 was very good so expectation from second season is also high. JL50 is interesting web series with such a talented cast and intriguing teaser makes it also worthy.
