Delhi Capitals scored 164/5 in their 20 overs. Not the final score Delhi would have expected after the start Shaw and Dhawan had provided them with. The score read 88/0 at the halfway mark and they would have been eyeing 175 from there on with plenty of wickets left. However, RCB consistently chipped away at the wickets and were smart in the way they operated in the slog overs. Only 36 runs came off the last 30 balls as the brakes were truly put on DC’s final flourish. Hetmyer did play a few big shots but couldn’t really turn it on as much as he would have liked to. It’s a slow track though, a bit two-paced and so that makes this a competitive total, particularly given Delhi’s robust bowling attack. Sets things up for a cracking second half. Prithvi Shaw scored 48 of 31 balls and Shikhar Dhawan scored 43 of 35 balls. For RCB Mohammed Siraj pick 2 wickets for 25 runs in his 4 overs quota.
Innings Break!
Siraj brings the innings to a close by getting the scalp of Hetmyer.#DelhiCapitals post a total of 164/5 on the board. #RCB chase coming up shortly. Stay tuned!

Royal Challengers Bangalore successfully chase the target and scored 166/3 in their 20 overs and won the game by 7 wickets. Eight runs off two balls, and Bharat takes a second run to keep strike and keeps Maxwell off strike. That seemed wrong. Then Avesh who until then, was nailing his yorkers, dishes one well down leg. That seemed wrong too. And then comes the glory, a murder, and a steal. Oh, well, what do we know. This is where champions show up, and this is where champions crumble. And this is what pressure does. Kohli runs out to the middle, Maxwell is ecstatic, and RCB have unearthed a star. Importantly, with the auctions coming up, an uncapped star. This game just kept switching hands, with RCB looking in real trouble when AB fell, before Maxwell and Bharat snatched the momentum back, only for Avesh and Nortje to nail their quick yorkers and make it look like a done deal. Alas. It wasn’t to be. It never is in the IPL. Srikar Bharat scored 78* of 52 balls and Glenn Maxwell scored 51* of 33 balls. For DC Anrich Nortje pick 2 wickets for 24 runs in his 4 overs quota.
