Vivo IPL: RR beat CSK by 7 wickets in the 47th game of IPL 2021 and keeps their chances alive at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi. Now I will share the details of this IPL game match in my way.

47th Game (Rajasthan Royals Vs Chennai Super Kings)
Game Date: 2nd October 2021
Details:
Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson won the toss and elected to field first in the 47th game of IPL 2021 against Chennai Super Kings. Five changes in their playing XI and Shivam Dube, Glenn Phillips, David Miller, Akash Singh and Mayank Markande. Their four foreign players of this game are Glenn Phillips, David Miller, Evin Lewis and Mustafizur Rahman.

One change in CSK playing XI and they have included Sam Curran in the place of Dwayne Bravo. Their four foreign players of this game are Sam Curran, Faf du Plessis, Josh Hazlewood and Moeen Ali..

Chennai Super Kings scored 189/4 runs in their 20 overs. That’s some finish from CSK and they have ended with a challenging total. It was an exhibition of classical ball-striking from Gaikwad who tore into the RR bowlers after a very steady start initially. He kept peppering the field and toyed with the bowling with a plethora of jaw-dropping shots. His partnerships with Faf and Moeen set the base, and then Jadeja did what he does best these days and finish on a high. 73 came off the last five overs as the RR bowlers got pasted around the park. Nobody was spared really and got clobbered. The pitch wasn’t really as good as Gaikwad made it seem although the deck did seem to get a bit better as the innings progressed. It will take some doing for the Royals to chase this but they are in do-or-die territory, and have no option but to go hard. Ruturaj Gaikwad scored 101* of 60 balls and Ravindra Jadeja scored 32* of 15 balls. For RR Rahul Tewatia pick 3 wickets for 39 runs in his 4 overs quota.

Rajasthan Royals successfully chase the target by scoring 190/3 in 17.3 overs and won the game by 7 wickets. Whoa! Who saw this coming? Five changes to the XI, placed second from bottom on the points table, up against the table-toppers who hadn’t lost a single game in the UAE leg, almost every bowler punished by a 24-year-old classy Gaikwad, a struggling batting line-up set a target of 190 to keep their playoffs hopes alive. Rajasthan Royals had their backs against the wall and not many would have backed them to even put up a fight. But a teenager named Yashaswi Jaiswal came out all guns blazing, blasted a 19-ball half-century and his team raced away to 81/1 in six overs – highest powerplay score of the season. KM Asif nipped out Jaiswal off his very first ball after the powerplay. But Shivam Dube, sent above David Miller and Glenn Phillips, kept the momentum going. He went after the CSK spinners by hitting towering sixes and forced Dhoni to bring the pacers back. He didn’t spare them either as he notched up his maiden IPL fifty and stitched a fifty partnership with his captain. Samson fell to Thakur but that was too little too late for CSK whose bowling looked toothless without Bravo and Chahar. Two swashbuckling knocks from two left-handers and RR made a mockery of CSK’s 189 as they hunted it down with 15 balls to spare. Shivam Dube scored 64* of 42 balls and skipper Yashaswi Jaiswal scored 50 of 21 balls. For CSK Shardul Thakur pick 2 wickets for 30 runs in his 4 overs quota.
