Kolkata Knight Riders scored 165/7 runs in their 20 overs. KKR will be disappointed having managed just 50 in the last six overs. Iyer once again was really good, adding another feather to his already fancy cap. Tripathi was a perfect second fiddle. Rana too had a few neat finishing touches. But around this, Punjab have clawed back into this. And they haven’t done it with the change-ups in pace, they’ve done it with yorkers. Venkatesh Iyer scored 67 of 49 balls and Rahul Tripathi also scored 34 of 26 balls. For PBKS Arshdeep Singh pick 3 wickets for 32 runs in his 4 overs quota.

Punjab Kings successfully chase the target by scoring 168/5 in 19.3 overs. Oh what relief for PBKS! They again seemed to be faltering towards the end after being in control for most of the chase. But they have managed to win with three balls to spare. That’s a comprehensive margin in PBKS terms. They were helped by Tripathi who couldn’t hold onto the catch and fumbled it over the ropes. Morgan kept pushing his fifth bowler’s final over till the very end, looking to take the game deep and hoping that his more established bowlers would leave something to defend. But eventually Iyer just had five in the bank. Rahul anchored the chase right from start to the finish (almost), while Shahrukh Khan played a nice cameo to finish it off, lifting Punjab to fifth place in the table, tied on points now with KKR who are fourth. KL Rahul scored 67 of 55 balls and Mayank Agarwal scored 40 of 27 balls. For KKR Varun Chakaravarthy pick 2 wickets 24 runs in his 4 overs.
