Delhi Capitals scored 135/5 in their 20 overs. Score isn’t good, mind you, but it’s something for the bowlers to bowl at. This pitch is pretty much a T20 minefield, with some balls staying low, some skidding, some sticking. But let’s not take credit away from KKR’s spinners, with all three of them just not letting any of the batsmen cut loose. Stoinis promotion to number three didn’t quite work either, with both him and Dhawan struggling to find any sort of timing. Iyer ground it out, but the most important contribution came from Hetmyer whose two big hits helped shift some pressure back. It by no means is going to be an easy chase. Shikhar Dhawan scored 36 of 39 balls and Shreyas Iyer scored 30* of 27 balls. For KKR Varun Chakaravarthy pick 2 wickets for 26 runs in his 4 overs quota.
INNINGS BREAK

Kolkata Knight Riders successfully chase the target and scored 136/7 in 19.5 overs and won the game by 3 wickets. Oh this beating heart! This fascinating game! The fans of KKR and DC were set about on a random oscillatin pendulum. But KKR from being prospective wooden spooners have chance to write their name in gold. Only 4 points from 7 games, they move to the second leg and they have turned it around and how! Delhi fans and players ate high on emotions. Shaw was in tears. Had to be picked up. DC had agony in the finale in 2020 and have had a couple of shots at ignominy in 2021 despite topping the table. It looked like an easy chase for 80 percent of the chase till a cluster of wickets in the last two three overs turned the game upside down. From needing 11 off 3 overs to needing 6 off 2, KKR almost shot themselves in the foot. But then Tripathi pulled out one last trick and smoked it over long-off to ensure KKR fans will sleep peacefully tonight. Venkatesh Iyer scored 55 of 41 balls and Shubman Gill scored 46 of 46 balls. For DC Ashwin, Rabada and Nortje picks 2 wickets each.
WHAT. A. FINISH! 👌 👌 @KKRiders hold their nerve and seal a thrilling win over the spirited @DelhiCapitals in the #VIVOIPL #Qualifier2 & secure a place in the #Final. 👏 👏 #KKRvDC
