Durgesh Tiwary’s View : When I watched the trailer of this film planned to watch this movie on its digital premiere as it is dubbed in Hindi and trailer of this films especially bike chase sequences looks good.

Police office Arjun comes from Madurai to Madras and is put in charge of weeding out the drug mafia but the problem is so deep-rooted that it seems impossible to understand the mafia’s modus operandi. The mafia is also into chain-snatching and murders and is being run by a large team of deadly bikers who operate under the name of Satan’s Slaves and use the internet to connect. How Arjun and his team exposes the mafia lord Naren forms the crux of the drama.

Valimai story lacks novelty as one has seen many dramas about the drug mafia. Screenplay is interesting as it has several twists and turns and intertwines a family drama into the action drama. But is also too long-drawn, and one reason for this is that the action scenes are extremely lengthy. The film lacks in romance, comedy and emotions. Action scenes have been wonderfully choreographed and that is major USP of this film.

The narrative is not simplified and it takes a while to understand what exactly is happening. The execution is shaky at several places. In such films, one should ideally not look for logic. Yet, in some scenes, there’s absolute lack of sense and it becomes difficult to digest certain developments. Hence, one doesn’t even empathize when the protagonist faces problems. Overall it suffers from long length, complicated narrative and lack of logic. My view on this movie Time Pass
