Time To Dance Review: Poor direction and screenplay unable to make this dance drama watchable
Time To Dance Movie Rating: 1.5 Stars

Finally watched Time To Dance movie in Hindi on Netflix. So let’s analyze the cast, release date, story, positive/negatives and at last my personal view on this movie.

Cast: Sooraj Pancholi, Isabelle Kaif, Rajpal Yadav, Sammy Jonas Heaney, Waluscha De Sousa and Natasha Powell
Director: Stanley D’costa
Release Date: 7th May 2021 on Netflix

Story: Rishabh (Sooraj Pancholi) and Sada (Rajpal Yadav) work as waiters in a club in London. Rishabh is a street dancer. Isha (Isabelle Kaif) and Meher (Waluscha De Sousa) are sisters who run a dance academy in London. While Isha is a fabulous dancer and teaches dance to students in the academy, Meher works elsewhere to make extra money as they have a loan to repay.

The club in which Rishabh works hosts a dance competition every year. William (Sammy Jonas Heaney) has been the winner of the competition since the last two years. This year, William’s partner is Isha. William’s mother (Natasha Powell) hates Isha.

While dancing one day, Isha has a leg injury. She is advised to refran from dancing for six to seven months. She is crestfallen as she was very keen to participate in the dance competition. Since Rishabh likes Isha very much, he teaches her students in her place as bank sent their recovery officer Nihal Singh (Saqib Saleem) for the loan. William changes his dance partner when he gets to know about Isha’s injury. This infuriates Isha who now asks Rishabh to be her partner for the competition. But Rishabh declines Isha’s offer because he has a horrific memory of dance competitions. What is that memory?

After much coaxing, Rishabh agrees to become Isha’s partner. But he has to learn dancing in a dance academy to be qualified as a professional dancer as only professional dancers can participate in the dance competition. There’s also Isha’s recovery from her leg injury, which is to be monitored. How Rishabh trains and then how he and Isha participate in the dance competition form the crux of the story. What happens in the competition?

Positives
1. Good Performances
2. Story
3. Cinematography

Negatives
1. Climax
2. Dialogues
3. Music
4. Direction
5. Screenplay

Durgesh Tiwary’s View : > When I watched the trailer planned to watch this movie in my free time when it released on OTT because trailer of this film is good but not the best one to watch in cinemas.

It is all about a dance competition in London which every dancer dreams about winning. The two all-time favourite performers William with his professional dancer Isha are soon to participate in the challenge. But Isha injures her leg which leads William saying goodbye to her. Here, enters Rishabh who is a part-time street dancer and works as a waiter in a restaurant with his friend Sada. What next? Rishabh is the saviour, who learns dancing and becomes Isha’s partner. The duo teams up together will make them win this competition.

Routine and predictable story which lacks novelty. The romantic angle is weak and so is the emotional appeal of the story. Comedy is poor. Even the spirit of competition fails to excite the viewers because the story and screenplay are extremely dull and clichéd. Many dialogues are in English, and this would restrict the reach and appeal of the film. My View on this movie Not Recommended!!
