Durgesh Tiwary’s View: When I watched the trailer of this film planned to watch this movie on digital premiere instead of cinemas because it looks average but a big fan of Marvel superhero movies.

Thor attempts to find inner peace, but must return to action and recruit Valkyrie, Korg and Jane Foster who is now the Mighty Thor to stop Gorr the God Butcher from eliminating all gods.

An entertaining story that has plenty of drama and action and some comedy and a bit of emotions. For a film of this genre, the fast pace is a phenomenal advantage. The computer graphics are so neatly done that the viewers are led to believe that in the Marvel universe, the action is for real rather than computer-generated. With well-placed laughs and action sequences galore, the viewer is kept in his seat from the first frame to the last. While the film has certainly been made and written with perfection there are certain moments where the viewer feels a bit more could’ve been added. This comes across in terms of action sequences, as the ones that are there have been executed with aplomb but they are few and far between. On the other hand, as compared to the first two THOR films, a massive change is evident in the writing department with most of the humour coming from witty one-liners. Aiding the visuals and the banter is the background score that keeps it peppy and energetic.

Waititi’s attempt to expand the eccentric and comedic side of Thor, also seen in Ragnarok is refreshing. Although he pushes the envelope a bit too far this time around. His genre fluid romcom is helluva fun but also underwhelming in scale and action for a Marvel film. The snazzy stunts and sharp humour keep you entertained, but you miss the larger than life, menacing superhero appeal of the Asgardian Avenger. Everything feels over-simplistic and cut short in order to rush the narrative. Scenes look consistently choppy. Lack of build-up also fails to evoke the emotional investment expected in a story like this.

Overall, a fun watch but personally I had much more expectations from this film. This one is mediocre and less impactful movie of this franchise which has less thunder and childish screenplay. While some may find it a thrilling ride to watch, certain others may feel differently. My view on this movie Recommended If you are Thor and Marvel movie fans.
