Durgesh Tiwary’s View: When I watched the trailer of this film planned to watch this movie on its release date as loved the trailer and liked previous movies of Maddock Films and Shahid Kapoor.

A robotics engineer unknowingly becomes part of a project to test a human-like female robot. Things take a twist when he falls in love with her and can’t get her off his mind. Can man and machine form a bond of partnership and marriage?

Teri Baaton Mein Aise Uljha Jiya serve a novel, breezy, and fun concept with a quirky situation. The laughs here are in the absurd situations that the human-robot couple encounters along the way. The situational comedy in the film makes you laugh your heart out, especially in the first half. The songs obviously are very peppy and they are well complimented by the visuals, much to the credit of the 2 leads. The idea of a robot landing in a human’s world is interesting and the goof-ups shown in the film are hilariously good. It is a technically sound film with an adequate amount of VFX used to elevate the mood. The background score blends in well. The movie’s appeal lies in romance, and Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon have a smashing on-screen chemistry. Kriti’s poker-faced robotic act and on-cue laughter are hilarious, and she delivers every scene where she glitches in the human world with aplomb. Shahid breezes through the role of an irreverent guy hopelessly in love. Direction is good but they have not been able to camouflage the shortcomings of the script with their narration.

On the flipside, it’s hard to understand why Aryan falls for a robot, really. He’s a good looking, fit, intelligent Punjabi boy who is not just a himbo but a computer engineer to boot. Why can’t he find a real girl to spend time with? The film doesn’t tell us that. In spite of novelty in subject, the story will not appeal to many. Rather, many among the public will find the concept ridiculous. Its poor title is a big minus point as a lot of people would not feel inclined to watch the film because of its irritatingly long and difficult title. While the first half of the film is paced well and is unquestionably funny, the second half is slightly slower, although there are laugh-out-loud moments at regular intervals to make up for it. The movie loses its way in the third act, with few jarring scenes towards the end. The end is logical but it’s the execution that’s a mish mash. The climax feels anti-climactic, and the end is abrupt, with a promise of more.

Overall, movie is a great attempt to make a rom com with a truly different premise. Don’t expect logic, just trust the magic of cinema and enjoy it with your loved ones. It’s heartwarming family entertainer with some genuinely funny moments. The makers have hit all the right buttons to make an entertaining but memorable rom-com. Plus, there is a cameo and surprise announcement at the end of the film. My view on this movie Recommended.
