Punjab Kings bowled out for 151 in their 20 overs after batting first. What a remarkable turnaround that as SRH have managed to restrict PBKS to 151. Credit to that final over by Malik who ended with four wickets to his name and didn’t concede a single run in that over. Bhuvneshwar set the tone though by picking up an early wicket in the form of Dhawan and he was clinical at the death too. He got the important wicket of Livingstone as Punjab couldn’t get the finishing touches. They struggled at the top too in the absence of Mayank, but Livingstone and Shahrukh somewhat steadied the ship and helped the Kings post a formidable total. The momentum is with Sunrisers after that kind of a finish by Malik, will their young top order batters complement his efforts though? Sunrisers Hyderabad chased down the target successfully by scoring 152/3 in 19th over and won the game by 7 wickets. Four wins on the trot for SRH! Chasing 152, they lost their skipper cheaply. Tripathi and Abhishek Sharma stitched a fifty partnership for the second wicket with the former looking in great touch. However, Rahul Chahar who conceded 14 runs off his opening over came back strongly to remove both the set batters. At 77/3, the two overseas Sunrisers batters joined hands. Markram and Pooran batted sensibly, rotated strike well and punished the loose balls. In the 14th over, there was a mix-up between the duo, however Rabada fluffed the run-out chance. Post that, there were no hiccups and just like his previous outing, Markram capped off the match with back-to-back boundaries. Earlier, the SRH bowlers were top-notch to restrict a strong Punjab batting line-up to a below-par score. Barring Livingstone’s half-ton, not much went PBKS’ way today. Aiden Markram scored 41 runs of 27 balls and Nicholas Pooran score 35 runs of 30 balls. For PBKS, Rahul Chahar pick 2 wickets for 28 runs in his 4 overs quota.
