Royal Challengers Bangalore scored huge 157/8 runs in their 20 overs after batting first. RCB finish with a whimper. Just 25 off the last four overs, with Obed McCoy doing a brilliant job. A superb recovery from Prasidh as well after those hat-trick of sixes from Miller in the first qualifier. RCB were pretty well placed until the last 5-6 overs as Patidar and Maxwell seemed to be setting a platform to launch. But losing both of them in quick succession had them losing their way. No flourish from DK tonight. 157 seems like a modest total, and the RCB bowlers have a job on their hands. Rajat Patidar scored 58 runs of 42 balls and Skipper Faf Du Plessis scored 25 runs of 27 balls. For RR, Prasidh Krishna & Obed McCoy pick 3 wickets each.

Rajasthan Royals chased down the target successfully by scoring 161/3 in 18.1 overs and won the game by 7 wickets. Rajasthan have won the battle Royale! They were head and shoulder above RCB tonight. Their bowlers, especially pacers, hit the right lines. There was a tinge of extra bounce on the surface and both Krishna and McCoy took advantage of it by delivering 3-fers. Patidar once again starred with a fifty but wasn’t as fluent as the last game. RCB looked for a final gasp. But the hurrah never came as they failed to come to terms with the bounce on the surface. Once they only had 158 to target, Buttler and Jaiswal made it pretty clear. They added 61 in no time and the game continued to slip away. Buttler in the process brought up 800 runs and his 4th IPL ton as well. RR made some changes at the auction and all of that has born fruition. Jos Buttler scored 106* runs of 60 balls and Skipper Sanju Samson score 23 runs of 21 balls. For RCB, Josh Hazlewood pick 2 wickets for 23 runs in his 4 overs quota.
