RCB beat MI by 7 wickets in IPL 2022-cricketmovie.com

Tata IPL: RCB beat MI by 7 wickets in the 18th game of IPL 2022. Now I will share the details of this IPL game match in my way.

18th game (Mumbai Indians Vs Royal Challengers Bangalore)
Game Date: 9th April 2022
Details:
Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Faf Du Plessis won the toss and elected to bowl first in the 18th game of IPL 2022 against Mumbai Indians at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune. Two change in MI and Jaydev Unadkat and Ramandeep Singh in the place of Tymal Mills & Daniel Sams.

One change in RCB playing XI and they have included Glenn Maxwell in the place of Sherfane Rutherford.

Mumbai Indians scored 151/6 in their 20 overs after batting first. That’s a decent recovery by Mumbai Indians as they have managed to post a respectable total after that collapse. MI got off to a fantastic start, scoring 49/0 in the powerplay, but RCB fought back well to reduce Mumbai Indians to 79/6. The Challengers might have fancied their chances to restrict MI to a paltry total, but SKY had different ideas. The stylish batter played a gem of a knock, notching up his second successive fifty of the tournament. And as a result of his innings, Mumbai managed to breach the 150-run mark. For the Challengers, Harshal Patel and Wanindu Hasaranga bagged a couple of wickets each, while Akash Deep was the most economical bowler of the lot. Siraj was the most expensive bowler as he conceded 51 runs off his 4 overs. SuryaKumar Yadav scored 68* runs of 37 balls and skipper Rohit Sharma scored 26 runs of 15 balls. For RCB, Hasaranga & Patel picks 2 wickets each.

Sunrisers Hyderabad successfully chased the target and scored 155/2 in the 18th over and won the game by 8 wickets. A clinical chase and SRH open their account in style. Their bowlers did a terrific job to restrict CSK to 154. In reply, the openers got off to a slow-and-watchful start (just 24 off the first five overs). Abhishek Sharma hit a four and six off Theekshana in the final over of the powerplay and he didn’t look back post that. Even with a struggling KW at the other end, the 21-year-old batted fantastically coupling aggression with smart cricket. Captain Williamson perished after Abhishek’s maiden half-ton but that turned out be a blessing in disguise for the Sunrisers. Rahul Tripathi came out with a positive intent and timed the ball beautifully. The two uncapped Indian batters stitched a match-winning half-century partnership for the second wicket. Abhishek perished for 75, but he’d done his job. Tripathi fittingly hit the winning runs as SRH hunted down the target with 14 balls to spare. Abhishek Sharma scored 75 runs of 50 balls and Rahul Tripathi score 39* runs of 15 balls. For CSK, Mukesh Choudhary & Bravo picks 1 wicket each.

MI: 151/6 in 20 overs
SRH: 152/3 in 18.3 overs

Result: Royal Challengers Bangalore won by 7 wickets
Man of the Match: Anuj Rawat
