GT beat SRH by 5 wickets in Tata IPL 2022-cricketmovie.com

Tata IPL: Rashid Khan & Rahul Tewatia sensational batting led their team a nail-bitter thriller win on last ball. They won their game against SRH by 5 wickets in the 40th game of IPL 2022. Now I will share the details of this IPL game match in my way.

40th game (Gujarat Titans Vs Sunrisers Hyderabad)
Game Date: 27th April 2022
Details:
Gujarat Titans captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and elected to field first in the 40th game of IPL 2022 against Sunrisers Hyderabad at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. GT remain unchanged for this game while SRH made one change and Washington Sundar comes in for Jagdeesha Suchith.

Sunrisers Hyderabad scored 195/6 runs in their 20 overs after batting first. Out of nowhere, SRH end with 195. Not with Pooran or Markram doing the damage at the end but with Shashank Singh blasting away. Four sixes in the last over and a hat-trick to finish by Shashank as SRH end on a high. Earlier on, the platform was set by Abhishek Sharma and alongwith Markram they ensured that the GT bowling lineup did not get away cheaply. The left-hander took on the spinners, especially Rashid Khan who he smashed for 3 sixes and Markram was severe on the pacers. But Joseph the pick of GT’s bowlers tonight got Abhishek and GT fought back with the wickets of Pooran and Markram which threatened to restrict the total to around 170. But a tremendous finish from Shashank ensured SRH have a very good score on the board. Remember the last 5 games at this ground have been won by the team batting first. Abhishek Sharma scored 65 runs of 42 balls and Skipper Aiden Markram scored 56 runs of 40 balls. For GT, Mohammed Shami pick 3 wickets for 39 runs in his 4 overs quota.

Gujarat Titans successfully chased down the target on the last ball by scoring 199/6 in their 20 overs and won the game by 5 wickets. It’s not a surprise anymore. The Titans simply seem to have that extra gear when everything seems down. And they rise out of nowhere to land the knockout punch. Rashid was the con-artist tonight and boy, didn’t he deliver. 22 off 6 balls is not impossible by today’s standards but still was a tough ask. Tewatia set the tone with a six first ball, and Jansen wilted under pressure eventually. Take nothing away from Rashid though, quick hands and that bottom-hand is the stuff of legend. 15 off 4 became 9 off 3 but when he missed one, you thought surely that SRH would somehow scrape though. Not to be, as the Afghanistan showman pumped two sixes to seal the deal. The chase was set up well by Saha earlier on, but a superhuman spell of pace bowling from Umran Malik destroyed the Titans middle order. He was literally unplayable today and everyone felt that his spell might have sealed the fate. Not quite. One man, who had a forgettable night with the ball, decided to unfurl his fury with the bat. Wriddhiman Saha scored 68 runs of 38 balls and Rahul Tewatia score 40* runs of 21 balls. For SRH, Umran Malik pick 5 wickets for 25 runs in his 4 overs quota.
