Lucknow Super Giants scored 169/7 in their 20 overs after batting first. They would’ve probably taken it after having slipped to 27/3, with de Kock and Lewis taken out by Washington Sundar. It was the partnership between Rahul and Hooda that revived the innings. Rahul dropped anchor, while Hooda took his chances after taking some time early on. Both got to fifties, and then it was left to Badoni to put the finishing touches on the innings. Hooda seems confident that this is a decent score as he says the ball is not coming on well if it’s bowled into the wicket. Skipper KL Rahul scored 68 runs of 50 balls and Deepak Hooda scored 51 runs of 33 balls. For SRH, Washington Sundar, Shepherd & Natarajan pick 2 wickets each.

Sunrisers Hyderabad unable to chased the target and scored only 157/9 in their 20 overs and lost the game by 12 runs. LSG hold their nerve to win their second match on the trot. They chased 46 from the last three overs in their previous match and defended 33 off the last three today. After posting a competitive total on the board on the back of fifties from Rahul and Hooda, Lucknow managed to nip out both the SRH openers inside the powerplay. Avesh Khan accounted for both of them. Rahul Tripathi and Aiden Markram kept the scoreboard ticking with the former finding boundaries at regular intervals. Krunal Pandya removed both of them and applied the brakes in the middle overs. The game was still in the balance when Pooran and Washington Sundar were out in the middle. However, Lucknow’s death-overs bowling was top-notch with Avesh Khan bowling an outstanding 18th over and other two overseas bowlers Tye and Holder did their bit to help their team register a 12-run win. Rahul Tripathi scored 44 runs of 30 balls and Nicholas Pooran score 34 runs of 24 balls. For LSG, Avesh Khan pick 4 wickets for 24 runs in his 4 overs quota.
