LSG beat PBKS by 20 runs in Tata IPL 2022-cricketmovie.com

Tata IPL: LSG beat PBKS by 20 runs in 42nd game of IPL 2022. Now I will share the details of this IPL game match in my way.

42nd game (Lucknow Super Giants Vs Punjab Kings)
Game Date: 29th April 2022
Details:
Punjab Kings captain Mayank Agarwal won the toss and elected to field first in the 42nd game of IPL 2022 against Lucknow Super Giants at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune. PBKS remain unbeaten for this game while LSG included Avesh Khan in the place of Manish Pandey.

Lucknow Super Giants scored 153/8 runs in their 20 overs after batting first. It all looked rosy for LSG at 98/1 in the 13th over but that’s when things changed. de Kock edged one and walked off and that sparked a collapse which saw them losing 5/13 and then 6/28. A lax run-out of Hooda and then Pandya and Badoni holed out before Stoinis found the bowler. The innings just lost steam and LSG never recovered from that. Earlier on, Rabada got the big wicket of KL but de Kock and Hooda rebuilt the innings with a partnership that was full of swings and misses along with big hits. Both batters struggled on a sticky pitch but hung on to give their side the platform. If LSG get a few early wickets, this 153 could be handy. Quinton de Kock scored 46 runs of 37 balls and Deepak Hooda scored 34 runs of 28 balls. For PBKS, Kagiso Rabada pick 4 wickets for 38 runs in his 4 overs quota.

Punjab Kings unable to chase the target by scoring 133/8 in their 20 overs and lost the game by 20 runs. The batter in Mayank hasn’t helped Mayank the skipper. And that has resulted in another defeat. Earlier, Mayank and his troops did a fine job with the ball. Punjab even got off to a fine start. But once Mayank departed for only 25, the wheels started wearing off. Dhawan never got in. Rajapaksa didn’t scare much, Livingstone threw it away and Bairstow‘s fight wasn’t long enough. The batting came a cropper as LSG’s bowlers put on a team show. Mohsin Khan with his timely strike of Livingstone and then Krunal‘s maiden towards the end of the innings were turning points. Chameera nailed in the victory flag by removing Bairstow. The wicket of course didn’t make the chase any easier but Punjab batters could have applied themselves better. Two maiden overs during their batting innings also didn’t help. LSG had packed their bowling with options and that has again come good for them. Jonny Bairstow scored 32 runs of 28 balls and Skipper Mayank Agarwal score 25 runs of 17 balls. For LSG, Mohsin Khan pick 3 wickets for 24 runs in his 4 overs quota.
