Delhi Capitals scored 149/3 in their 20 overs after batting first. Shaw was on a different level in the powerplay as he carted anything and everything thrown at him. But once the powerplay was done, the LSG spinners came on and changed things completely. Gowtham got Shaw out and from then on, the innings struggled for real momentum. Warner who was watching everything from the other end when Shaw was going berserk, cut one to backward point and then Powell fell cheaply. Pant struggled and was at 6 off 17 at one stage. He looked to have turned a switch with an 18-run over off Tye but that proved to be a false dawn as LSG gave away just 19 runs off the last 3 overs with Holder and Avesh bowling superbly. The spinners choked DC in the middle and then the pacers finished it off well. Prithvi Shaw scored 61 runs of 34 balls and skipper Rishabh Pant scored 39* runs of 36 balls. For LSG, Ravi Bishnoi picks 2 wickets for 22 runs in his 4 overs quota.

Lucknow Super Giants successfully chased the target and scored 155/4 in just 20th overs and won the game by 6 wickets. At the innings break, it seemed like DC were about 10-15 runs short and that seemed evident right through this run chase. LSG were always on top due to the lack of scoreboard pressure and it actually was a brilliant couple of overs from Mustafizur (17th over) and Shardul (18th over) that actually brought the game alive. But Krunal held his nerve, smoking a big six off The Fizz’s penultimate over and then young Badoni finished the game with two splendid strikes in the 20th over. ‘Badoni finishes it in style’ could be a sentence that we’ll use a lot this season. Amazing talent, amazing composure. The chase was set up by De Kock though, who anchored the innings with a controlled 80 with the other top-order batters sticking with him. Much like Shaw in the first half, the South African seemed to bat on a different surface. Wasn’t the easiest of pitches, with the change of pace proving tricky, even with the dew helping the chasing side a wee bit. Delhi needed to strike early with the ball to be ahead in the game, and once that didn’t happen, they were always playing catchup. There will be some discussion around their batting, can’t afford to get sub-150 scores with just three down. Quinton De Kock scored 80 runs of 52 balls and KL Rahul score 24 runs of 25 balls. For DC, Kuldeep Yadav pick 2 wickets for 31 runs in 3.4 overs.
Young Badoni finishes things off in style.@LucknowIPL win by 6 wickets and register their third win on the trot in #TATAIPL.
