Two changes in MI Playing XI Surykumar Yadav comes in place of Anmolpreet Singh and Dewald Brevis who comes in for Tim David.

Mumbai Indians scored 161/4 in their 20 overs after batting first. MI finish on a high. 76 off the last 5 overs. 63 off the last 4. Surya on his comeback game after an injury, injected the momentum which was badly needed after Rohit and the others struggled against an excellent KKR bowling unit. Umesh Yadav set the tone and the others carried on. Brevis on debut sparkled with a cameo but Ishan Kishan struggled after the early loss of Rohit. Surya and Tilak took their time to get in and then unleashed at the end. Pollard provided the sparkling fireworks in the final over and MI have 161. They will be happy with that. KKR meanwhile just let it slip away, but if they bat well, should chase this down. Suryakumar Yadav scored 52 runs of 36 balls and Tilak Varma scored 38 runs of 27 balls. For KKR, Pat Cummins picks 2 wickets for 49 runs in his 4 overs quota.

Kolkata Knight Riders successfully chased the target and scored 162/5 in just 16 overs and won the game by 5 wickets. What was all that talk about the pitch being sticky and being difficult to start on?? Pat Cummins laughed it off and smashed 10 boundary shots in the 15 balls he faced, burying the game in the blink of an eye. Mumbai thought they had the game once the feared Devil, Dre Russ fell to a pacy Mills short ball. Little did they know, that KKR had an imposter trained to take down the enemy. Nobody was spared, not even Bumrah as Cummins swiped, heaved, swept and slogged his side home. Credit to Venkatesh Iyer too though, wasn’t at his fluent best at all but somehow got stuck in at one end, eventually getting the ideal foil in Cummins. Look at Andre Russell’s special dancing moves that he’s dedicated to his Australian teammate. When the West Indian is impressed by someone’s hitting, that’s high praise. For a major part of the chase though, KKR were stumbling on a surface that actually was tricky (don’t be fooled by Cummins’ assault), and Mumbai had a score that was challenging. But sometimes, you can’t do anything when a player bats like a man possessed. Pat Cummins scored 56* runs of 15 balls and Venkatesh Iyer score 50* runs of 41 balls. For MI, Mills & Ashwin pick 2 wickets each.
