Rajasthan Royals scored huge 222/2 runs in their 20 overs after batting first. In two games RR have rewritten their own personal best for the highest team score this season. Again it was the Buttler show but he was slow to get off the blocks as Khaleel started off well. Padikkal set the tone and then when one went out of the boundary, from Buttler, it was pure carnage from the Lancashire-lad. Every bowler was carted around the Wankhede and one could sense fear in DC’s bowling lineup even as Pant kept showing off his disappointment. Nothing worked till Khaleel came back to dismiss Padikkal. But in came Samson and pounded the bowling. Meanwhile at the other end, Buttler got his 3rd hundred this season and RR have a massive score on the board once again. Not sure what Ricky Ponting would make of this bowling effort as he is watching from the hotel. A massive chase awaits them. Jos Buttler scored 116 runs of 65 balls and Devdutt Padikkal scored 54 runs of 35 balls. For DC, Mustafizur & Khaleel picks 1 wicket each.

Delhi Capitals unable to chased the target and scored 207/8 in their 20 overs and lost the game by 15 runs. With this win RR jump to the number 1 spot in the points table. What a dramatic finish to the game. Pant still looks disappointed as he has a word with Samson near the sidelines. Quite an entertaining match overall, starting from Buttler‘s scintillating century to Powell‘s blitzkrieg towards the end. Rajasthan Royals posted the highest total of IPL 2022 as Padikkal and Samson gave Buttler the required support and the top three batters punished the opposition bowlers right throughout the innings. It was an absolute run-fest as the Wankhede crowd was entertained to the core. In reply, Warner and Shaw got the Capitals off to a brisk start, but once the opening partnership was broken, Delhi Capitals kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Pant played a handy knock too, but Powell’s innings almost stole the show. For the Royals, Krishna bowled a fabulous penultimate over which was a wicket-maiden. Skipper Rishabh Pant scored 44 runs of 24 balls and Prithvi Shaw score 37 runs of 27 balls. For RR, Prasidh Krishna pick 3 wickets for 22 runs in his 4 overs quota.
