Two changes in GT and they have included Yash Dayal and Vijay Shankar in the place of Darshan Nalkande and Sai Sudharsan.

Gujarat Titans scored 192/5 in their 20 overs after batting first. At 54/3 it didn’t look good for Gujarat, but two excellent partnerships have given them a brilliant total on the board. 86 runs for the fourth wicket between Abhinav and Hardik and then a 53-run blitz off 25 balls between Hardik and Miller. Gujarat have shown the importance of pacing the innings, something the Mumbai Indians haven’t been doing thus far this season. Let’s talk about Hardik. He is showing great maturity. No. 4 isn’t his slot usually, but he has cemented that spot with a lot of gears. He plays the anchor mostly until the middle overs but doesn’t miss out on targetting one bowler. And if he there at the end he smashes the bowlers to all corners. This sort of a responsibility from Hardik this season has been highly impressive. Abhinav took his time and then upped his pace lift the rate before Chahal got him. RR felt the absence of Boult badly today. Prasidh, Ashwin going wicketless didn’t help either. Skipper Hardik Pandya scored 87* runs of 52 balls and Abhinav Manohar scored 43 runs of 28 balls. For RR, Chahal, Parag and Kuldeep Sen picks 1 wicket each.

Rajasthan Royals unable to chased the scored 155/9 in 20 overs and lost the game by 37 runs. The catalyst, the promoter, almost every prefix or suffix for Pandya junior would be falling short. He did everything. Batted with panache, led with flair and bowled enough to make a vital contribution. Rajasthan started with a couple of wickets at the top but Hardik counter-attacked and took it away from them by stitching partnerships with Manohar and Miller. Gujarat then were about to be blown by a Butter special but the slower delivery served to him was too handle as Ferguson removed him after he got to his fifty. Post that wickets fell at regular intervals and RR just meandered along to fall short by 37 runs. Gujarat hit a roadblock in the last game but have motored along in this one. Rajasthan like most years continue to stop and start. Jos Buttler scored 54 runs of 24 balls and Shimron Hetmyer score 29 runs of 17 balls. For GT, Yash Dayal, Lockie Ferguson pick 3 wickets each.GT
