GT beat LSG by 5 wickets-cricketmovie.com

Tata IPL: GT beat LSG by 5 wickets in the 4th game of IPL 2022. Now I will share the details of this IPL game match in my way.

4th game (Gujarat Titans Vs Lucknow Super Giants)
Game Date: 28th March 2022
Details:
Gujarat Titans captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and elected to bowl first in the 4th game of IPL 2022 against Lucknow Super Giants at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.

Lucknow Super Giants scored 158/6 in their 20 overs. This is an excellent recovery after Shami blew away Lucknow’s top order. Rahul was sent packing first ball, de Kock and Pandey got jaffas and at 29/4 it looked like Gujarat Titans will roll over the Super Giants cheaply. But in walked Ayush Badoni above a seasoned Krunal and started the repair work with Hooda. The pair took their time to get going and once they did it was carnage. Hooda got to his fifty first and once he was dimissed Badoni took over, the youngster reached his landmark in his debut IPL game. Krunal also provided the finishing touches and Lucknow got a score to defend. Gujarat will be slightly disappointed but this target is well within their reach. Deepak Hooda scored 55 of 41 balls and Ayush Badoni scored 54 of 41 balls. For GT Mohammed Shami pick 3 wickets for 25 runs in his 4 overs quota.

Gujrat Titans successfully chase the target and scored 161/5 in 19.4 overs and won the game by 5 wickets. There’s nothing left to imagination here. Both these teams, in their very first outing, have put on a serious thriller. It’s no secret that winning the toss and chasing is half the job done at the Wankhede. It’s also no secret that 159 with the dew and on a ground as small as this one isn’t much to play around with, but Lucknow had this firmly in their grasp. With Bishnoi, Krunal and Hooda tightening up the screws in those middle overs, sending back both the set batsmen in Wade and Hardik, and with Miller and Tewatia just not getting going, it really looked like a bridge too far. Nope. It’s been a tournament for the chasers, and so what if the asking rate touches 14, there’s always a twist around the corner. And the twist came in the form of that 16th over where Rahul perhaps erred in persisting with Hooda. Tewatia cut loose, Miller joined in, before Manohar came on and put up a serious show of his hitting talent. And the momentum saw them through. Rahul Tewatia scored 40* of 24 balls and David Miller also scored 30 of 21 balls. For LSG Dushmantha Chameera pick 2 wickets for 22 runs in his 3 overs.
