India beat Bangladesh in Super 8-cricketmovie.com

T20 World Cup 2024: Another all-round performance helps Team India to win their 2nd super8 game against Bangladesh. They won by 50 runs at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, North Sound, Antigua. Now I will share the details of this game match in my way.

2nd Super8 Game (India Vs Bangladesh)
Game Date: 22nd June 2024
Details:
Bangladesh skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto won the toss and elected to field first in their 2nd super8 game of T20 World Cup against Team India at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, North Sound, Antigua. No changes in Team India playing XI.

Team India scored 196/5 runs in their 20 overs after batting first. This has been the best batting surface India has played on and they have rightly notched up their highest total in the tournament. The start was pretty good as Rohit and Kohli were off the blocks quickly, though the former departed within the fourth over, Kohli and Pant kept the scoreboard ticking. Both got to their 30s and threw it away. Dube took his time but caught up with a 24-ball 34. But it was Hardik’s knock that gave India the impetus towards the end. He was at his best as he took the onus and got the score close to 200. Bangladesh are not out of this as the pitch did look good for batting and they have the firepower to chase this total down. Hardik Pandya scored 50* runs of 27 balls and Virat Kohli scored 37 runs of 28 balls. For Bangaldesh, Tanzim Hasan Sakib & Rishad Hossain picked 2 wickets each.

Bangladesh unable to chase the target and scored 146/8 runs in their 20 overs. They did not get the quick score they needed to put pressure on India and once the ball got soft and the spinners came in, it was hard to put the ball away. Shanto tried as he hit a couple of sixes in one Hardik over, but India never allowed the rate to go down. Kuldeep bowled a wonderful spell, and the others just did their jobs to perfection. The fielding too was quite good with catches taken to go with good ground fielding. Bumrah was again outstanding, and India look a well-rounded outfit in these conditions. Skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto scored 40 of 32 balls and Tanzid Hasan scored 29 runs of 31 balls. For Team India, Kuldeep Yadav picked 3 wickets for 19 runs in his 4 overs quota.
