South Africa beat Team India by 5 wickets-cricketmovie.com

T20 World Cup 2022: First win for South Africa against Team India in the World cup after 2011. They won the 3rd game of super 12 by 5 wickets and move the top in the points table of Group 2 at Perth Stadium, Perth. Now I will share the details of this game match in my way.

2nd game (India Vs South Africa)
Game Date: 30th October 2022
Details:
India captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bat first in their 3rd game of super 12 against South Africa at Perth Stadium, Perth. One change in Team India and Deepak Hooda is playing in the place of Axar Patel.

Team India scored 133/9 runs in their 20 overs after batting first. There were two exhibitions on display: South Africa’s pace and bounce and Suryakumar‘s brilliance. India got off to a steady start, seeing off the first four overs, but Ngidi‘s introduction opened the floodgates and they lost 5 for 26. Suryakumar battled fire with fire and kept the scoreboard ticking, Karthik hung around for some time and so did Ashwin, but India’s innings was all about Suryakumar and he has given them something to defend. Ngidi was the pick of the bowlers as he blew the top-order away with a 4-fer while the rest complemented him perfectly especially Parnell who had a 3-fer of his own. South Africa are clear favorites here because they’re used to these conditions and India don’t have a pace attack like theirs. But funny things have happened in cricket. Suryakumar Yadav scored 68 runs of 40 balls and skipper Rohit Sharma scored 15 runs of 14 balls. For South Africa, Lungi Ngidi pick 4 wickets for 29 runs in his 4 overs quota.

South Africa chased down the target by scoring 137/5 in 19.4 overs and won the game 5 wickets. Miller is as cool as a cucumber. South Africa go to the top of the points table with this win. Their pacers set it up with the ball by restricting a powerful Indian line-up to 133. The Indian batters, barring Suryakumar Yadav, struggled to get going. Many expected this to be a straightforward chase for the Proteas, but the Indian bowlers had other ideas. If the South African pacers troubled the batsmen with pace and bounce, the Indians put their opposition under pressure with swing. Arshdeep bowled superbly removing QdK and Rossouw in his very first over with an outswinger and inswinger respectively. Shami and Hardik backed the new-ball bowlers with disciplined bowling. At the halfway stage, the score read 40/3 and the asking rate was above 9 RPO. Markram and Miller upped the ante straightaway after the drinks break. The former got a couple of reprieves and he capitalized with a fifty. Hardik managed to break the partnership, but Killer Miller targeted the right bowlers at the right time to take his team over the line in the final over. A spirited performance from the bowlers, but India was let down by their batters and fielders. David Miller scored 59* of 46 balls and Aiden Markram scored 52 runs of 41 balls. For Team India, Arshdeep Singh pick 2 wickets for 25 runs in his 4 overs quota.
