Singham Again Movie Rating: 4 Stars

Cast: Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor and Jackie Shroff
Director: Rohit Shetty
Release Date: 1st November 2024 in cinema
Story: It is the fifth installment of Shetty’s Cop Universe franchise and a direct sequel to Singham Returns. Bajirao Singham (Ajay Devgn) is now the SSP in Kashmir. His wife Avni (Kareena Kapoor Khan) works in the Cultural Ministry of India and they have son as well.
During an encounter with terrorists Singham successfully nabbed dreaded terrorist Omar Hafiz (Jackie Shroff). He warned that someone from his team will come and wreak havoc. 2 years later Avni is planning for a spectacular cultural show of Ramayan. During few days of show she comes to know that few major parts of story is missing, and she needs to go Rameshwaram to re-shoot it.
Meanwhile Singham finds out that Omar’s team is smuggling drugs from Sri Lanka to India. Singham asks Madurai DCP Shakti Shetty aka Lady Singham (Deepika Padukone) to arrest the drug traffickers. But Omar’s grandson, Zubair Hafiz (Arjun Kapoor) swears revenge and sets her police station on fire and also killed several police officers.
Avni was backstabbed by her own team member, and she was kidnapped by Zubair who asks Singham to have his grandfather released from jail and sent back to him in exchange for Avni. It is now Singham’s mission to get his wife safely back from Zubair and also arrest the latter and bring him to India while, obviously and not letting Omar Hafiz be set free.
Does Singham become successful in rescuing Avni from the evil clutches of Zubair? what roles do Shakti Shetty, Simmba (Ranveer Singh), Veer Suryavanshi (Akshay Kumar) and Satya Bali (Tiger Shroff) plays in the rescue mission of Avni is what forms the rest of the film.

Durgesh Tiwary’s View: When I watched the trailer of this film planned to watch this movie in cinemas on Day 1 as loved the trailer and previous 2 films of this franchise. THis time I was also excited to see Chulbul Pandey with Singham. Bajirao Singham must follow the clues and details hidden within the Ramayana when his wife, Avni, is kidnapped by the terrorist, “Danger” Lanka
Singham Again story is simple, and everyone know what happens at the end but its Rohit Shetty who has made a wholesome entertainer for all kinds of audience and for every age group. The first half of the film takes its time, building up the story and characters. But as soon as the interval ends, the film kicks into high gear, delivering back-to-back action sequences that will keep you on the edge of your seat. It’s in the second half where movie truly shines, giving action lovers a complete adrenaline rush. The background music in the film is another highlight, adding to the intensity of each action scene. The juxta positioning is so wonderfully done that the Ramayana runs (on stage) parallelly with the story of Singham versus Zubair, making them appear as the modern avatars of Lord Rama and Ravana respectively. This gives the story more depth and holds special appeal for the ladies and family audience. The similarities between the Ramayana and Singham’s drama make the screenplay even more interesting. The light moments, interspersed in the tension-ridden drama, especially after interval, provide the much-needed relief. The film’s production is top-notch, with Raza Mehta’s stunning cinematography capturing the wild beauty of Sri Lanka and Tamil Nadu. The recreation of Ramayan for the stage is a visual treat. It is exactly what you’d expect from him, a festive entertainer packed with the action, drama and thrills that make his films a hit every single time. Ajay Devgn owns the screen with his quintessential swag, taking the lion’s share as a performer. Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar & Arjun Kapoor shines while rest are good. Just when you think you’ve seen it all, there’s a surprise twist toward the end with the entry of none other than Chulbul Pandey (Salman Khan) himself. His brief appearance, full of charisma and style, adds a fresh dimension to the story and is a real treat for fans.
On the flipside, the way Omar gets arrested so easily is hard to digest. Secondly, there are too many cinematic liberties. The climax is a bit convenient but just to see all the actors together is sure to give viewers a high. While it suffers from a screenplay of convenience and a weak soundtrack, but it compensates with mass-pleasing moments. For those expecting to see Singham upping the ante with his action sequences, you may get slightly disappointed. While the music mostly complements the high-octane drama and action of the narrative, it becomes jarring at several points. The humor quotient is missing through the first half. Overall movie is the perfect film to watch this Diwali as families come together to celebrate the festival of lights and the triumph of good over evil. With its engaging story, thrilling action, and memorable performances, the film offers a delightful cinematic experience that appeals to audiences of all ages. Do watch Singham Again for him, for its ambitious, larger-than-life appeal and for not-so-surprising Salman Khan’s Chulbul Pandey cameo. If promises are met, then a Rohit Shetty X Salman Khan collaboration is on the way. My view on this movie Highly Recommended.
