Silence Movie Review: Manoj Bajpayee shines in half baked murder mystery

Just watched Silence movie on Zee5 Premium. So let’s analyze the cast, release date, story, positive/negatives and at last my personal view on this movie.

Story: The whodunnit begins with a group of young trekkers stumbling upon a dead body of a young girl. It turns out, the high-profile victim Pooja (Barkha Singh) was the daughter of a retired judge-Justice Chaudhary (Shishir Sharma) and Nirmala Devi (Sohaila Kapoor). MLA Ravi Khanna (Arjun Mathur) who is Pooja best friend Kavita (Hitha Chandrashekhar) husband shares that two days before her death. Since Kavita was not in the city, Pooja decided to stay the night in the house and visit Kavita the next day. However next day after Ravi left for his work and returned home from midway, he found Kavita falling down the stairs in the house with no sign of Pooja.
Determined to bring his daughter’s killer to justice, the latter requests the Police Commissioner to assign her murder case to ACP Avinash Verma (Manoj Bajpayee) a hot-headed, impatient cop who has never followed rules in his entire career. With the help of a special team comprising of three cops Sanjana Bhatia (Prachi Desai), Amit Chauhan (Sahil Vaid) and Raj Gupta (Vaquar Sheikh) sets out to nab the culprit before the case turns cold.
For a routine inquiry, ACP Verma visits Pooja’s house, where Justice Choudhary informs him that his friend’s son, Rishabh (Amit Thakkar) has been living with them for some time with his fiancee, Kia (Garima Yagnik). In his routine inquiry, he also finds that Pooja was wearing diamond jewellery, which was missing from her dead body. The needle of suspicion points to MLA Ravi Khanna whose wife is lying comatose in the hospital and was besties with Pooja. But, is there more to this than meets the eye

Durgesh Tiwary’s View : > When I watched the trailer planned to watch this movie because of story looks engaging and Manoj Bajpyaee is there in this movie.
A group of hitchhiking friends discover the decaying corpse of a girl hidden in the bushes on a hilltop. The corpse is that of Pooja who is the daughter of an influential person. The case is assigned to ACP Avinash Verma also gets a separate team to help in the investigation. As they try to find the motive and the killer the needle of suspicion often falls on an upcoming politician Ravi Khanna at whose house Pooja was last seen, and whose wife Pooja’s bestie who is in a coma.
Film begin on engaging note and it keeps you engage with it’s thrills but after an hour film loses it’s plots and not progressed as I expected and also climax is very ordinary that we have seen in so many thrillers. My View on this movie Time Pass!!
