RRR become 3rd Indian film to collect 1000 Cr after Dangal and Bahubali 2. Yes, you have heard it right on the 16th day has managed to cross the Rs. 1000 cr. mark at the worldwide box office even without release in China because other two films released in China to crossed this magical numbers. Dangal’s worldwide lifetime collection is around Rs 2024 crore while Baahubali: The Conclusion earned Rs 1810 crore and RRR now becomes 3rd in the list.
This is ace director SS Rajamouli’s second directorial to achieve this feat after Baahubali 2. The Conclusion had managed this feat with around Rs. 800 cr. gross coming from the domestic market and a further Rs. 200+ cr. from the overseas markets also the film had become the first Indian production to achieve this. As for the business of the film, with little to no competition, the collections of RRR are expected to continue to hold stead. In fact, trade predicts that the collections of the film could even see an increase over its third weekend running. It has maintained a steady flow of collections with audiences across the board patronizing the film and all set to cross 250 Cr in North India as well.
RRR has become the 24th movie to enter the highly exclusive Rs. 200 cr club and it takes 13 days to achieve this feat. S Rajamouli who now has two films that have crossed Rs. 200 cr, bags the second spot after Rohit Shetty, Ali Abbas Zafar, and Rajkumar Hirani, who each have three films that have made it past this mark.
