Royal London Series 2022: First time Team India registered 10 wickets win against England in ODI’s. They won the 1st ODI by 10 wickets at Kennington Oval, London and lead the series 1-0 with 2 more ODI’s to go. Now I will share the details of this game match in my way.

1st ODI (Pakistan Vs Australia)
Game Date: 12th July 2022
Details:
India captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to field first in the 1st ODI against England at Kennington Oval, London. Virat Kohli is not playing due to mild groin strain.

England bowled out for 110 runs in 25.2 overs after batting first. We had two hours and a bit of exhibition with the ball, from Bumrah and Shami in particular, and England have been dismissed for their lowest ever score in ODIs against India. Bumrah also joins the 6-wickets club, which includes Stuart Binny, Anil Kumble, Ashish Nehra and company. India won a good toss, and in conditions which favoured swing and seam, Bumrah and Shami ran amok, The red-ball didn’t move an inch and they were rendered helpless on day 4 and 5 at Edgbaston, but the white-ball has been very helpful for the pacers, both in T20Is and now in the 1st ODI. Four of the top-6 England batters were sent packing for ducks. Jos Buttler tried to hold one end up, but was bounced out for 30 and it needed a 35-run 9th wicket stand to help them avert utter shambles. 86, their previous lowest ever ODI score looked in danger of being breached until then, but India will reckon they can chase down 110, irrespective of conditions. Skipper Jos Buttler scored 30 runs of 32 balls and David Willey scored 21 runs of 26 balls. For Team India, Jasprit Bumrah picks 6 wickets for just 19 runs in 7.2 overs.

Team India chased down the target successfully by scoring 114/9 in 18.4 overs and won the game by 10 wickets. And India are done with their thumping. As if knocking England out for 110 wasn’t bad enough already, they’ve reached 111 without losing a single wicket. A 50-overs-a-side contest doesn’t last a total of 50 overs. It’s been that lopsided. This was meant to be a day-nighter! Rohit Sharma is a pro at bossing these small chases with his aggressive approach to just stamp the opposition out of the contest, and he did just that today. England’s bowlers were extremely keen to bowl short to him despite the ball seaming around, and he just kept smoking them into the stands at fine leg for fun. Shikhar Dhawan, who’s now playing just the ODI format, which is the rarest of the three, was scratchy at the start owing to his lack of match time, but then steadied himself towards the end as he found his timing. Nevertheless, it’s the first innings, or rather Bumrah’s first over, where the game the decided. Skipper Rohit Sharma scored 76* of 58 balls and Shikhar Dhawan scored 31 runs of 54 balls. No any England bowlers picks any wickets.

ENG: 110 all out in 25.2 overs
IND: 114/0 in 18.4 overs
