Ms. Marvel Finale Episode Review: Kamala Khan superhero story failed to impress after good initial episodes

Just watched Ms. Marvel Finale Episode in Hindi on Disney Plus Hotstar. Let’s analyze the cast, release date, story, positive/negatives and at last my personal view on this web series.

Story: Bruno (Matt Lintz) and Kamran (Rish Shah) are on the run with Damage Control hot on their heels. Unfortunately, Kamran can’t control his new powers and draws more attention than they’d like on the subway. Back home in New Jersey, Kamala (Iman Vellani) decides to tell her family about her identity as the Night Light, but they already know since her mother didn’t wait to spill the beans.
On the other hand, Nakia (Yasmeen Fletcher) is worried about both of them and turns to Kamala, whereupon she puts together her disguise with a gift from her mother and Kareem’s cloth. After a detour, she also meets Bruno and Kamran who is gradually plagued by cramps and asks Kareem (Aramis Knight) for help. They also get support from Nakia, Aamir and Zoe and devise a plan to stall the Damage Control agents. Although Cleary tells them to retreat, Deever (Alysia Reiner) ignores the order and has the school stormed where Kamala and her friends are hiding.
Nevertheless, Damage Control manages to arrest everyone except Kamala and Kamran who then learns the truth and confronts Deever. When she has fire opened, Kamala sides with Kamran using her powers to fight off the agents. After the latter flees, Deever is suspended by Cleary (Arian Moayed). Kamala takes the name Ms. Marvel through her father and Kamran meets Kareem for the first time. A week later, Bruno explains to Kamala that she is different from her family and has a mutation in her genes.
In the post-credits scene of the Ms. Marvel Finale, Captain Marvel (Brie Larson) seems to suddenly appear in Kamala’s room after the bangle emits a strange glow. Both characters will appear alongside Monica Rambeau in The Marvels.

Durgesh Tiwary’s View : When I watched the trailer planned to watch the each episodes on its premiere date because of new superhero story and its connection to Captain Marvel next movie which will release in 2023.
A 16-year-old Pakistani-American high school student from Jersey City who is an aspiring artist and avid gamer, and writes superhero fan fiction about heroes such as Captain Marvel. Khan gains the ability to harness cosmic energy and create constructs from a magical bangle.
The last episode of the series is very lackluster it feels like the showrunners didn’t know how to end the show after they killed the main bad guys in the last episode. The show always had a villain problem, the Clandestines never felt like a threat, and their exit from the show in episode 5 only ended by Highlighted the issue in the finale. The only thing the episode dies well is set the upcoming ‘The Marvels’ movie and hint at the possibility of mutants existing in the MCU. Hopefully, Nia DaCosta who is directing the movie will be able to redeem Kamala Khan and give MS. Marvel her rightful place in the MCU.
There was enough in Ms. Marvel to at least go on for two more episodes. Like the veil is still unexplained, the Noor dimension is not completely known. The Clandestine gang just perished without much efforts and the big sacrifice almost looked like it was inconsequential. But going into the finale, the critical question of Kamala’s biggest threat loomed as there wasn’t one clear antagonist in the show. Had the writers focused more on plot and character motivation instead of pandering throughout the series, we could have had a great superhero origin story. Changes from Ms Marvel’s comic book origins were expected on screen, but the finale seems to make one drastic departure. As Bruno says that Kamala has a mutation in her genes, the hook from the X-Men animated series opening theme plays. Is Kamala now the first ‘official’ mutant in the MCU?.
While it’s expected to have narratives left open to be tackled in subsequent shows/ movies, there seem to be far too many plots/ subplots here that don’t get any more explanations within the scope and eventually does it a disservice. Rather than building intrigue for the future, these unaddressed questions further add to the notion that the latter half of the series was rushed. My view on this series Not Recommended but still if you are big Marvel superhero fans that you can take the risk.
