Big news of the day is that through Instagram post Indian former captain and wicket-keeper batsmen MS Dhoni Announces Retirement from International Cricket. Although The Board of Control for Cricket in India is yet to send an official statement on the matter. In his illustrious 15-year career as an India cricketer MS Dhoni has made given us several moments that every Indian will cherished forever. The 39-year-old Dhoni last played for India in the World Cup 2019 semi-final loss to New Zealand at Old Trafford in Manchester, played over two days on July 9 and 10.
One of greatest co-incidence of MS Dhoni career is in his first game against Bangladesh on 3 December 2004 he was run out and in his last international game on 10th July 2019 against New Zealand he was also run out.
Dhoni, who had announced his retirement from Tests in 2014, has played 350 ODIs and 98 T20Is.In 350 ODIs, Dhoni has scored 10773 runs at an average of 50.57. He has 10 centuries and 73 fifties to his name. In his 98 T20Is, scoring 1,617 runs at an average of 37.6, including two half-centuries,

Under Dhoni’s captaincy, India won the 2007 ICC World Twenty20, the 2010 and 2016 Asia Cups, 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup and 2013 ICC Champions Trophy. India were also ranked No 1 in the Test rankings under his captaincy.
MS Dhoni is only captain in the world to win all 3 ICC trophies. He is only second wicketkeeper-batsman to touch the 10000-run mark after Sangakkara to achieve the landmark in ODI’s and overall 5th Indian player.
