South Africa scored massive 227/3 runs in 20 overs after batting first. First thing’s first the surface as expected is a belter and South Africa will feel they have done well to post a solid total. Only Bavuma missed out on run-scoring as the rest feasted on the short dimensions to enjoy a decent hit out in the middle. de Kock took his time before finding his groove and just when he tried to switch gears, a needless run-out saw his downfall. Indeed, Stubbs and Miller played their part in spiking the score over 200 but the comeback man Rilee Rossouw deserves all the limelight for his 48-ball hundred. Walking out to bat today, he was yet to get off the mark in this series and he put all that bad memories to rest with a wonderful knock that included 7 fours and 8 sixes. He was also helped by some sloppy fielding and catch-dropping by the hosts (Siraj dropped him on 24 off Ashwin). If anything, the surface is only going to get better for batting, and it will be a real test for this Kohli-and-Rahul-less batting line-up. Rilee Rossouw scored 100* runs of 48 balls and Quinton de Kock scored 68 runs of 43 balls. For Team India, Chahar & Patel picks 1 wicket each.

Team India unable to chase the target and bowled out for 178 runs in 18.3 overs and lost the game by 49 runs. India lost Rohit Sharma in the first over of the run chase, and Shreyas Iyer didn’t last long either. Dinesh Karthik was promoted to bat at number 4, and he batted with a positive mindset till the time he was out there in the middle. Was proving to be an entertaining knock, until he played an ugly reverse sweep, only to find the stumps rattled. SKY who has been in ominous touch, couldn’t contribute much, and the remaining batters couldn’t chip in with any significant contributions. barring a few cameos. The South African pacers conceded a lot of boundaries and gave away a lot of extras, but they kept taking wickets at regular intervals, unlike the last game. Earlier India’s bowling was once again under the scanner as most of their bowlers leaked plenty of runs. Their fielding wasn’t that great either, as they put down quite a few chances. Dinesh Karthik scored 46 of 21 balls and Deepak Chahar scored 31 runs of 17 balls. For South Africa, Dwaine Pretorius pick 3 wickets for 26 runs in his 3.3 overs.
