Durgesh Tiwary’s View : When I have watched the trailer of this series planned to watch in on premiere day because as its has good star cast with gripping storyline.

Om Singh is a senior police detective in London, is handled a high-profile missing-girl’s case, which soon turns out to be a homicide investigation, implicating her media tycoon father, Amar Roy. However, the further Om digs, the more he finds clues to a cult that’s linked to his son’s dark past that he’s trying to forget.

London Files starts off on an interesting note. The tragic prologue implies a cataclysmic disaster for Detective Om Singh; but it’s not until later that the full impact of that tragedy sinks in. And its effect is quite devastating when revealed completely. The continuous jumps to the past and present events are efficiently used as a tactic to unfold the happenings from different perspectives, all the while teasing one’s curiosity to know how all the dots would connect in the end.

It builds gradually with a generous dose of unpredictability. The execution is commendable, but the story’s attempt to justify its many characters and their motives occasionally fall short. Given the mystery’s engrossing nature, the climax is quite underwhelming. Editing is crisp and fluid, seamlessly transitioning from flashbacks to the present and holding the audience’s attention throughout. The majority of this fictional drama revolves around the consequences of London’s anti-immigration law, which has made it difficult for many immigrants to survive.

The production value is top-notch and adds to the overall look of the show, which was shot in London. The camera work and cinematography are really good throughout too, with some great sweeping shots of the city and a good mixture of close-up and medium shots to heighten the drama unfolding. The BGM by also helps in setting up the tone for the show. Overall it is a fast-paced investigative thriller packed with edge-of-your-seat drama and mystery, making it a binge-worthy show.
