Kuhl Stylish Fans T20I series 2023: Highest ever opening stands by openers against West Indies helps India level series. India won the game by 9 wickets and draw the series 2-2 with final T20I to go at Lauderhill, Florida. Now I will share the details of this game match in my way.

4th T20I (India Vs West Indies)
Game Date: 12th August 2023
Details:
West Indies captain Rovman Powell won the toss and elected to bat first in the 4th T20I game against Team India at Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground, Lauderhill, Florida.

West Indies scored 178/8 runs in their 20 overs after batting first. This is a very very competitive total and India will need to make a chasing record if they’re to square the series at 2-2. The hosts ticked most of the boxes right, Mayers got them off to a bit of a flier, Shai Hope, playing his first game of the series, held the innings together with a 29-ball 45. But it was Shimron Hetmyer’s 39-ball 61 which made all the difference. Short of runs and form going into the match, the southpaw was aggressive, taking on Axar and the pacers while being respectful of the two specialist spinners. Wickets kept falling at the other end and the hosts were reduced to 123 for 7 at one stage, but Hetmyer and Odean Smith added 44 for the 8th wicket to take them to a strong position. Arshdeep Singh took 3, Kuldeep was impressive for his two wickets and the rest went for runs. This is a ground that’s skewed massively in favour of the team batting first and only twice have teams successfully chased down scores. India are one of those teams and they’ll back themselves to get these runs. Shimron Hetmyer scored 61 runs of 39 balls and Shai Hope scored 45 runs of 29 balls. For Team India, Arshdeep Singh picks 3 wickets for 38 runs in his 4 overs.

Team India chase down the target and by scoring 179/1 runs in 17 overs and won the game by 9 wickets. India make a mockery of West Indies’ 178. Jaiswal set the tone by getting off the mark with a boundary off the very first ball of the chase. Scored 10 runs off the opening over, struck three fours off a Holder over and then hit back-to-back boundaries off Shepherd. Gill, on the other hand, was watchful at the start but he made up for that in quick time. It was an eventful powerplay with India scoring 66 runs, hitting plenty of boundaries (7 fours from Jaiswal, 3 sixes and a four from Gill) and not losing a wicket. The openers continued to score at a brisk rate and brought up the century partnership in the tenth over. Gill notched up a fifty after three successive single-digit scores and Jaiswal raised his maiden T20I fifty in the same over. West Indies looked clueless against the onslaught. The 165-run opening stand eventually came to an end when Gill holed out to deep mid-wicket but that wicket came very late for the Windies. India romped home with 18 balls to spare. Earlier, Hetmyer top-scored and Shai Hope batted well in his comeback match but 178 turned out to be inadequate. Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 84* of 51 balls and Shubman Gill scored 77 runs of 47 balls. For West Indies, Romario Shepherd picked only wicket.
