Team India scored 165/9 runs in their 20 overs after batting first. That little cameo from Axar just about gets India through to a fighting total. India couldn’t quite match what they did with the bat in the previous game after choosing to go first having won the toss. Akeal Hosein removed both openers in quick succession, but SKY and Tilak Varma got India back on track. While the Windies kept chipping away with regular wickets, India were motoring along comfortably with SKY batting beautifully at one end. Once Hardik came in, India took a measured approach and played out a few overs cautiously. SKY brought up a well-deserved fifty before a short burst of rain forced them off the field. Hardik was dismissed soon after and that proved to be the catalyst for a collapse of sorts as 5 wickets in fell 4 overs. They didn’t quite get the desired surge at the back end and probably ended up 10-15 runs short of what they would’ve hoped for. Romario Shepherd was the pick of the Windies bowlers as he picked up 4 for 31 from his 4 overs. India will still be confident of defending this though with the pitch offering something for the spinners. Suryakumar Yadav scored 61 runs of 45 balls and Tilak Varma scored 27 runs of 18 balls. For West Indies, Romario Shepherd picks 4 wickets for 31 runs in his 4 overs quota.

West Indies chase down the target and by scoring 171/2 runs in 18 overs and won the game by 8 wickets. India handed a shellacking yesterday. Windies have returned the favour today. King and Pooran show almost killed off the chase. And then Hope came in to provide the finishing touches. King though stayed till the end and scored a wonderful 85. He took on Chahal and belted him for four sixes. He played out Kuldeep sensibly and that meant India were always under the hammer after scoring only 165. India would be very disappointed with their defence. Yes, they should have scored more. But apart from Kuldeep none looked like picking up a wicket. Pooran’s promotion to number 3 just forced Hardik to alter his plans and none of them worked as the southpaw was off to a flier. India were behind the 8-ball throughout the game. Earlier, on the back of a classy SKY knock India huffed and puffed to 165. It never looked enough and wasn’t as well at the end of the day. Brandon King scored 85* of 55 balls and Nicholas Pooran scored 47 runs of 35 balls. For Team India, Arshdeep & Tilak Varma picked one wicket each.
