Durgesh Tiwary’s View : When I watched the trailer of this film planned to watch this movie on digital premiere because this is last movie of late Puneeth Rajkumar and also trailer of this film is excellent.

The city of Bangalore is filled with the underworld mafia and is divided between two groups. Vijay Gaekwad is one of the heads and he has a life scare. So, he appoints Santosh as his security. But in a tragic turnaround of events, Santosh kidnaps Vijay Gaekwad and his sister and reveals himself as James. Who is this James? What connection does he have with the underworld? Why did he kidnap Vijay Gaekwad and his sister? What is his backstory?

James started on an interesting note and establishes the mafia set up in a very good manner. The way in which Puneet’s character is also introduced looks good. But from there, the film slows down and picks up only during the interval block. Story-wise there is nothing much the film has to offer. The interval bang is good but the rest of the screenplay is dull. Also, the flashback episode is dragged for no reason. The film is also lengthy and many scenes are added just for the sake of it. While an emotional tale unfolds in the second half, this is the only place that might have a slight lag, but the action picks up soon enough. James is the perfect treat eventually for people who want to cheer, hoot, whistle and even dance along with Puneeth in his true massy avatar on the big screen for one last time. The stylish presentation, slick action sequences and the extremely big ensemble cast ensure that the film has enough and more to keep them glued.

It also introduces the different players and one gets to understand the politics and dynamics in the sector. The end credits too has something in store for Puneeth fanatics, as there is his complete filmography, from his acting, singing television and ad stints. For all of who wanted to see their favourite Appu in his Power-packed Star avatar one last time, James does not disappoint. There are shortcomings, but this film eventually hits the bull’s eye in the heart for fans. .Overall, Movie is a fitting tribute to the late Puneeth Raj Kumar. He is in top form and gives his fans a thrilling ride with his action-packed avatar. Though the story is routine, Puneeth’s solid screen presence for one last time makes this film worth a watch this weekend. My view on this movie Recommended.
