India Tour Of Sri Lanka 2021: Team India won the ODI series by 2-1 against Sri Lanka after losing the 3rd and final ODI by 3 wickets at R.Premadasa Stadium, Colombo . Now I will share the details of this game match in my way.

3rd ODI (India Vs Sri Lanka)
Game Date: 23rd July 2021
Details:
Indian Captain Shikhar Dhawan won the toss again and opt to bat first in the 3rd and final ODI against Sri Lanka. Team India made 6 changes and included 5 debutants Sanju Samson, Nitish Rana, Gowtham Krishnappa, Rahul Chahar, Chetan Sakariya and Navdeep Saini. Sri Lanka also made 3 changes and included Praveen Jayawickrama, Akila Dananjaya and Ramesh Mendis

Team India all out for 225 runs in 43.1 overs. They will be disappointed that they didn’t bat out their alloted 47 overs. Especially when Prithvi Shaw and Sanju Samson were batting. The former looked in great nick but fell 1 short of his maiden ODI fifty. The latter too looked set for a big score but a clever piece of bowling from the impressive Jayawickrama saw his end. Rain made an appearance and the game was reduced to 47 overs for each side. After the resumption it was Sri Lanka all the way. The spinners did the job as they snapped up quick wickets and if not for Navdeep Saini and Rahul Chahar‘s little stand at the end, India would have struggled to even reach 225. Prithvi Shaw scored 49 of 49 balls and Sanju Samson scored 46 of 46 balls. For Sri Lanka Dananjaya and Jayawickrama pick 3 wickets each.

Sri Lanka chased down the target successfully by scoring 227/7 runs in 39 overs and won the game by 3 wickets but lost the series by 1-2. Big smiles from Mickey Arthur after all the anger at the end of the last game. Coming back to this chase, Sri Lanka had it in their hands for a majority of the time, but introduced some late drama with all those wickets to Rahul Chahar. In the end, they saw it home and thus end their winless run against India in ODIs. Also just their 2nd ODI win this year. This has been a tough time for them and this win should lift their spirits. Avishka Fernando scored 76 of 98 balls and Bhanuka Rajapaksa scored 65 of 56 balls. For India Rahul Chahar pick 3 wickets for 54 runs in his 10 overs quota.
