Team India scored massive 409/8 in their 50 overs after batting first. India end with 409 despite scoring only 70 runs in the last 10 overs. And hence have ended with a total which doesn’t threaten the 450 marks. But the day belonged to Ishan Kishan. He came. He saw. He hit fours and sixes at will. India was hurting from the losses. But Kishan didn’t have much baggage and must have been following some bazballism. His double ton was his maiden ODI ton and was the quickest double ton in ODIs. And amidst all the hullabaloo, Virat Kohli etched out a ton for himself. His first in almost three years ensured India just piled on the misery on the Bangladesh bowlers. And just for the record, Kishan was replacing Rohit Sharma who of course knows a thing or two about double tons in ODIs. The bowling, well, what can be said when someone just unleashes himself like this. Ishan Kishan scored 210 runs of 131 balls and Virat Kohli scored 113 runs of 91 balls. Bangladesh bowled out for just 182 runs in 34 overs and lost the game by 227 runs. Indian bowlers have done a quick wrap up of the Bangladesh innings. Chasing 410, Bangladesh got off to a quick start but it was a matter of time before they crumbled under the chasing rate. Anamul triggered the procession and it stopped with the wicket of Mustafizur. The bowlers were relentless just like Kishan’s batting earlier in the day. The game was set up by him as he out-batted Bangladesh out of the game. India had a lot of questions to answer and they must have answered a few thanks to that destructive knock. In the era of bazballness, have India stumbled upon a formula? Only time will tell.
