Australia scored huge 208/3 in their 20 overs after batting first. So despite that final over, Australia have finished with a formidable 208. Josh Inglis was the star of that innings with a blistering hundred which he brought up off just 47 balls. He went hammer and tongs right from the outset, coming in at the fall of Matthew Short in the fifth over. Steve Smith gave Inglis company for the most part as the duo shared a partnership of 130 for the second wicket. However, while Inglis smacked it all around the park, Smith struggled to get going, making a 41-ball 52 before being dismissed. His knock might come back to hurt Australia on what is a belter in Visakhapatnam. Josh Inglis scored 110 runs of 50 balls and Steven Smith scored 52 runs of 41 balls. For Team India, Prasidh Krishna & Ravi Bishnoi picked 1 wicket each.

Team India chased down the target successfully by scoring 209/8 in 19.5 overs. Settling the scores after the World Cup? Probably not quite because of the huge gulf in the magnitude of the two games but it’s a win that’ll feel good nonetheless for this young Indian side. Might not serve as but a band aid to the wounds of the World Cup but the Indian fans can rejoice at getting one back at the Aussies just three days after the heartbreak at Ahmedabad. It got a little nerve-racking there towards the end, but Rinku Singh was as cool as ever as he took India over the line. It was SKY who orchestrated a lovely win for India on captaincy debut. Chasing 209 wasn’t going to be easy on any surface but SKY and Ishan Kishan took the attack to Australia, and they were relentless. There was no lack of intent whatsoever here at Visakhapatnam, in fact there was plenty of it. Also, worth casting your mind back to the superb final over that Mukesh Kumar bowled in the first innings especially considering how close it got in the end. Suryakumar Yadav scored 80 of 42 balls and Ishan Kishan scored 58 runs of 39 balls. For Australia, Tanveer Sangha picked 2 wickets for 47 runs in his 4 overs quota.
