Hostages 2 Web Series Rating: 3.5 stars

Just watched Hostages 2 Web Series on Disney Plus Hotstar VIP . So let’s analyze the cast, release date, story, positive/negatives and at last my personal view on this web series.

Cast: Ronit Bose Roy, Divya Dutta, Dino Morea, Shibani Dandekar, Shweta Basu Prasad, Shilpa Shukla, Amit Sial, Kanwaljit Singh, Dalip Tahil, Surya Sharma, Aashim Gulati, Anangsha Biswas, Mohan Kapur

Release Date: 9th September 2020 (On Disney Plus Hotstar VIP)
Duration: 12 Episodes/ 30-40 Minutes

Story: Hostages 2 is sequel of Indian crime drama thriller of Hostages and it is official adaptation of an Israeli series of the same name. Instead of getting CM Khushwant Lal Handa (Dalip Tahil) killed on the operation table, retired Superintendent of Police Prithvi Singh (Ronit Bose Roy) along with his team kidnaps the CM for a bone marrow transplant to save his wife’s life. But this time nothing goes as per Singh’s plan, so will he still be able to save his wife?

The ample amount of twists-and-turns that keep the momentum going. The show is engaging and keeps its audience hooked while the battle between the both sides are on. will the cops overpower these kidnappers or Prithvi & team will have it their way?

Picking up right where season 1 left off, this time the situations are far crazier and unbelievable. A bunch of guest appearances, some unexpected returning characters and a lot of going round in circles later, the season ends with a dramatic climax.

Positives
1. Ronit Bose Roy and ensemble cast with superlative performance
2. Direction
3. Climax
4. Story

Negatives
1. Length of the series
2. Unnecessary characters and some unexplained plot
3. Screenplay is predictable

Durgesh Tiwary’s View : I have watched the first season of Hostages and after watching the trailer expectation was very high and it was in my watch list.

It picks up where the last episode left off and episodes by episodes it will keep you engage with twist and turn although 2-3 episodes can make you bore but last 2 episodes and dramatic climax will shock you and leave you with many questions which may answered in 3rd season.

If you have watched first season and love crime drama and thrillers then don’t miss it. Highly Recommended!!
