Durgesh Tiwary’s View: When I watched the trailer of this film planned to watch this movie in cinemas on release day as loved the trailer and also its action sequences. It picks up right where HIT 2 ends, with SP Arjun Sarkar stepping into the driver’s seat of the Homicide Intervention Team’s latest—and most twisted—case yet. When a series of violent murders unfolds across the country, Arjun is a sharp, obsessive cop haunted by anxiety and hypertension—takes on the investigation with unflinching focus.

Hit 3 has an engaging story and its screenplay is very fast-paced and keeps your interest alive. The first half is investigation drama and nicely sets up the tone for the second half and in the latter part, it is all action on another level. The amount of action showcased is brutal and has not been showcased on Telugu screens before in recent times. The action designed is top notch and will be loved by the masses. It is high on emotions and the logic behind the hero’s behaviour is justified well in the film. The last twenty minutes of HIT 3 is power packed and reminds us of many Bollywood films packed with action and drama. The production values are top notch and the VFX showcasing the bloodshed is designed well. The action blocks are brutal and elevate the proceedings quite well. This A-rated thriller does not hold back in portraying the darkest sides of humanity, with visuals that mirror its disturbing core. Nani is undoubtedly the major attraction of this. His new action-packed avatar and acting will shock and all. Whether in brutal action sequences or silent moments of inner chaos, he slips under Arjun’s skin with ease. The supporting cast and a surprise cameo or two serve the narrative well, keeping the spotlight on the central conflict. Director Sailesh deserves a special mention for the way he designed a few adrenaline-pumping moments during the pre-climax action sequence.

The biggest drawback for this film is it’s an undoubtedly an adult film and is not suitable for family audience. One gets a feeling that there was no need to showcase so much violence in the film. There are a few scenes which are quite disturbing. The film does not have major twists or turns and is a survival thriller in the second half. Sailesh Kolanu has taken a simple theme and made sure that there is mostly action and not enough drama in key parts. The screenplay is a bit dull and more arresting scenes in terms of drama and variation should have been showcased to make things better. The first half runs in a plain thread with not much action in the narrative. Another major drawback in the film is the weak characterization of the antagonist. He never looked powerful and menacing and did not challenge the protagonist enough. A bit more effort in writing and at least fifteen minutes of trimming would have made the film very engaging.

Though it opens in a generic way with the regular commercial tropes, the story picks up once the conflict is revealed. The second half is a treat for action genre lovers and also has enough high points to keep us cheerful. Overall, movie is a well-mounted, hard-hitting thriller that firmly establishes Nani in the crime-action genre. Though its intensity and disturbing imagery may not appeal to everyone, fans of dark thrillers will find it worth the ride. My view on this movie Highly Recommended for action lovers.
