Forensic Movie Rating: 2 Stars

Just watched Forensic movie on Zee5 Premium. Let’s focus on the complete details, story, positive/negatives and at last my personal view on this movie.

Cast: Vikrant Massey, Radhika Apte, Prachi Desai, Rohit Roy, Vindu Dara Singh and Anant Mahadevan
Director: Vishal Furia
Release Date: 24th June 2022 on Zee5

Story: Movie is a remake of a Malayalam film of the same name. It begins with the tragic tale of an eight-year-old boy whose violent father preferred his daughter over him. Due to this, the boy became a dangerous and vengeful individual.

At present, a young girl is murdered in Mussoorie on her birthday. Police inspector Megha Sharma (Radhika Apte) investigates the case. Forensic officer Johnny Khanna (Vikrant Massey) is called to do the forensic investigation. Megha and Johnny are ex-lovers. Megha’s elder sister was married to Johnny’s elder brother Abhay Khanna (Rohit Bose Roy). She had committed suicide following the murder of her younger daughter in Rishikesh. Megha holds Abhay responsible for her sister’s death.

Megha gets her older niece Anaya (Harbandana Kaur) and takes her to house as she does not want her to live with or even meet the father. However, Anaya and Abhay do meet clandestinely. Anaya is under the treatment of psychologist Dr. Ranjana Gupta (Prachi Desai). Even while investigations are on, two more young girls are found murdered on their respective birthdays. Who is the murderer and will Megha and Johnny able to catch them?

Durgesh Tiwary’s View : When I watched the trailer of this film planned to watch this movie in free time as trailer looks engaging and movie was planned for digital premiere.

Little girls begin to disappear and their bodies are found soon after in the town of Mussoorie. Police officer Megha and forensic officer Johnny join hands to nab the killer.

Forensic story doesn’t excite or thrill although, there are few intriguing moments but that is it. Screenplay lacks the excitement of a thriller and hence fails to involve. Direction is also very ordinary. He has not been able to create the atmosphere needed to enjoy a thriller. After retaining some of the original story’s elements, this Hindi remake includes a number of unexpected twists that create a completely unique experience. A whodunnit crime thriller requires a gloomy aesthetic, which the film has in spades.

Right from the beginning, the intense atmosphere and dark tone sets up the mood of the film. The dramatic twists and turns of the story, which are required for these genres, as well as the fact that it is unpredictable from the beginning, make it the most intriguing aspect. The film depicts in great detail how forensic investigators examine crime scenes for evidence, such as blood, fluid, fingerprints, or residue, in order to determine how a crime occurred. Another highlight is the setting of a small town and the naturally beautiful shots of the mountains and the woods. But overall we have seen many such thrillers and this one’s failed to engage. My view on this movie Not Recommended
