England Tour Of India 2021: Full scheduled announced for the tour. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) along with England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced the fixtures for Team India’s home series against England which will kickoff Team India international commitments in 2021 also first home series for India after more than a year.
The much-awaited marquee series will kickstart with a 4-match Test series for Anthony de Mello Trophy, the first of which will be played in Chennai from the 5th of February. Chennai will also host the second Test while the newly built Sardar Patel Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad will host the remaining two Test matches. It will be a good chance for both the teams to get used to the conditions in India, especially with the T20 World Cup set to take place in India next year. The fans will be eager to see cricket return to the country after nearly a year.
The BCCI and the ECB have also informed that the third Test in Ahmedabad will be played under the lights and will be a pink ball game. It will host India’s second Day-Night Test match at home after the huge success of India’s first-ever pink-ball Test that was played in Kolkata last year. The iconic Test will be followed by the 5-match T20I series, which will also be held in Ahmedabad.
The last leg of the tour will include the three-match one-day international series. The three ODIs will be played in Pune, beginning from March 23.Currently, the Indian cricket team is in Australia for three ODIs, three T20Is and four Tests. While the Australia won the ODI series, the Men in Blue emerged victorious in the T20I series. The Test series will now begin from tomorrow in Adelaide.
The BCCI has restricted the tour to just three venues keeping in mind the current pandemic situation prevailing in the country. The test match will comprise of four ICC World Test Championship matches and three ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League matches. It will be very crucial series for India and let’s wait how they will fare.

March 4-8: 4th Test: Ahmedabad

March 16: 3rd T20I, Ahmedabad
March 18: 4th T20I, Ahmedabad
March 20: 5th T20I, Ahmedabad

March 23: 1st ODI, Pune
March 26: 2nd ODI, Pune
March 28: 3rd ODI, Pune

This will be India’s first bilateral series at home since the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic and the home season will bring back joy to cricket fans.”
