Four foreign players of SRH for this game was David Warner, Kane Williamson, Rashid Khan and Jason Holder. Three changes in playing XI and they have included Williamson, Saha and Nadeem in place of Bairstow, Garg and Khaleel.
Sunrisers Hyderabad scores 219/2 in their 20 overs which is highest score of this season on this ground. Explosive batting by openers surprise DC as they not expected such assault against their key bowlers. DC paid the price for offering pace on the ball and mainly dishing out a lot of slot balls. Warner got a fifty off just 25 balls, becoming the only player this season to score a fifty in powerplay. Saha got his eye in and played some delightful shots. SRH never took the leg off the pedal and they have finished with a total that’s at least 25 runs above par by the looks of it even they just scored 23 runs in last 3 overs. Wriddhiman Saha scored 87 of 45 balls and David Warner scored 66 of 34 balls. For DC Nortje and Ashwin picks 1 wicket each.

Delhi Capitals chase was very poor and keep losing wickets in regular intervals and with run rate pressure and no any big partnerships cost the game for DC and they were all out for 131 runs with a over to go. Nothing much of note for them, as even the desperate attempts from Pant and Rahane failed to get them close. Rashid Khan was clinical, as usual, recording his best figures in this IPL with Seventeen dot balls. Rest bowlers also supprted well. Rishabh Pant scored 36 runs 35 balls and Ajinkya Rahane scored 26 in 19 balls. For SRH Rashid Khan picks 3 wickets for 7 runs in his 4 overs.

Durgesh Tiwary’s View : Congratulations to SRH for their bounce back after their close loss KXIP. Hats off to Warner and Saha for their explosive batting and special mention to their other bowlers who ensured his dream start wasn’t wasted. They have restricted opponent team in the chase. It’s all start with brilliant batting by openers and good finish by Pandey. They have maintained the good net run rate but still their chances to qualify for playoffs are very slim and dependent on other teams.
Delhi Capitals have lost their third game on the bounce. And they have MI and RCB to come their final 2 games. Definite problems to address in that batting department. Their batting machinery has creaked and groaned from last 3 games, before going completely kaput today against some spin and fast bowling. And this comes at a very tricky time in the tournament, where they can’t really make any drastic changes. Rishabh Pant is not in good form after his comeback. The Delhi Capitals have just crashed to their third successive defeat 88 runs, 59 runs, and 5 wickets, in reverse-chronological order. They really need to work in their batting because just 2 games left before the play-offs and performance need to be improved.
