Dream11 IPL Match 46: KXIP moved to no.4 position after beating KKR by 8 wickets. Now I will share the details of this IPL game match in my way.

46th Game (Kings XI Punjab Vs Kolkata Knight Riders)
Game Date: 26th Oct 2020
Details:
Kings XI Punjab captain KL Rahul won the toss and elected to field first in the 46th game of IPL 2020. KXIP included Chris Gayle, Glenn Maxwell, Chris Jordan and Nicholas Pooran as four foreign players for this game. No changes in playing Squad.

Four foreign players of KKR for this game was Sunil Narine, Eoin Morgan Pat Cummins and Lockie Ferguson. Team remains unchanged for today’s game.

Kolkata Knight Riders scores 149/9 in their 20 overs. This is another mediocre batting display by this team. They got off to a disastrous start as Shami was quite exceptional with the new ball. From 10/3 – Morgan and Gill helped them fightback with an 81-run partnership, but from there on it was a struggle again. The KXIP leg spinners were absolutely amazing in the middle overs as they took three wickets and conceded just 47 runs in their 8 overs. Gill was the top scorer, and Ferguson added some crucial runs towards the end. Shubman Gill scored 57 of 45 balls and Eoin scored 40 of 25 balls. For KXIP Mohammed Shami picks 3 wickets for 35 runs in his 4 overs.

Kings XI Punjab chase though started off on an uncharacteristic note as their openers tried to go hard against the new ball, but didn’t quite get the timing right. And, once KL was nipped out by Varun in the eighth over, the asking rate was approaching towards 10. But in walked Universe Boss and upset the applecart. Gayle needed just a couple of balls to get his eye in and then it was just a matter of which balls he wanted to send out of the park. He smashed five sixes in total and ensured that KXIP won it comfortably. He was ably supported by Mandeep who turned the tables – from struggling for timing to hitting fours for fun. Mandeep Singh scored 66* runs 56 balls and Chris Gayle scored 51 in 29 balls. For KKR Varun and Ferguson picks 1 wicket each.

KKR: 149/9 in 20 overs
KXIP: 150/2 in 18.5 overs

Result: KXIP won by 8 wickets
Man of the Match: Chris Gayle

Durgesh Tiwary’s View : Congratulations to KXIP for their 5th consecutive wins. From being one time wooden spooners to five wins on the bounce, KXIP have ridden the creats and troughs in the IPL like no other. They have been able to turn the tide and that too against the three top ranked teams and now they are at no 4 from last position. Everything is going in favor of KXIP this time as bowlers are not giving runs in death overs and middle order batting is improving and finishing the game. They surely have momentum with them now and need to carry for their further games as well as good chance is for them to qualify for the play-offs.

For KKR today was another mediocre batting performance. Lose three wickets in just 2 overs but Morgan-Gill counter-attack post that. But after Morgan’s downfall, the KKR were always behind and unable to score good total in the ground. They are now slipped at no 5 position after this defeat. Now just games are remaining and they need to win both of team with good run rate in order to qualify for the playoffs. It could be possible only when batsmen performs better as bowlers are doing pretty good job.

That’s all from 46th game of the IPL 2020 and hope you all will like this information. We will be back tomorrow with all the details of 47th game which will played between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals.
