RR won by 7 wickets-Cricketmovie.com

Dream11 IPL Match 37: CSK is almost out from this season after losing by 7 wickets against RR. Now I will share the details of this IPL game match in my way.

37th Game (Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals)
Game Date: 19 Oct 2020
Details:
Chennai Super Kings Skipper MS Dhoni won the toss and elected to bat first in the 37th game of IPL 2020. CSK included Faf Du Plessis, Shane Watson, Josh Hazlewood and Sam Curran as four foreign players for this game. Two changes in CSK playing XI and they have included Piyush Chawla and Josh Hazlewood in place of Karn Sharma and injured Dwayne Bravo.

Four foreign players of RR for this game was Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler, Jofra Archer and Steve Smith. One changes in RR playing XI as they have included Ankit Rajpoot in place Jaydev Unadkat.

Chennai Super Kings scores 125/5 in their 20 overs. Pitch was slow, but CSK have no excuses for managing such a modest score. Only 36 came off the final 5 overs, a disappointment considering they had wickets in hand. They started badly and never really recovered and only one decent partnership, between MS and Jadeja, but that 51-run stand consumed 46 balls. A choke in the middle overs by the excellent pair of Gopal and Tewatia meant they had to target the pacers to reach a decent score. Ravindra Jadeja scored 35* of 30 balls and MS Dhoni scored 28 of 28 balls. For RR Archer, Tyagi, Gopal and Tewatia picks 1 wicket each.

Rajasthan Royals chase was poor as they lost 3 quick wickets in power plays but unbeaten partnership between Buttler and Smith takes home in 17.3 overs by scoring 126/3. Special shoot out for Buttler they have he played today in pressure game after quick wickets is commendable and for me he was the difference between both teams because batting on this pitch was not easy at all. Jos Buttler scored 70* runs 48 balls and Steve Smith scored 26* in 34 balls. For CSK Deepak Chahar picks 2 wickets for 18 runs in his 4 overs.

CSK: 125/5 in 20 overs
RR: 126/3 in 17.3 overs

Result: Rajasthan Royals won by 7 wickets
Man of the Match: Jos Buttler

Durgesh Tiwary’s View : First of congratulations to RR for their much needed win and they are still alive in this season. Today for the first time in the season I have seen best bowling in this season and RR every bowlers were just outstanding especially spinner duo and after loosing three quick wickets in chase they way Buttler batted was just superb. Still they chance to qualify for the play-offs but they need to repeat today performance which seems tough but it is possible for them.

Chennai SUper Kings is officially out of this season for me as they have just 4 games remaining and the way they are playing not sure if will able to won all the games. Poor batting from batsmen except Jadega who show some intent and remain unbeaten. In this season the biggest drawback for this team was run rate that was never good excluding few games. For the first time in the IPL history they will not able to qualify in the play-offs.

I have two major reasons for that first one they have badly missed the service of Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh and 2nd MS Dhoni unable to do his job as captain or finisher. His performance is poor through out the season.

Stats

MS Dhoni will become the first player to feature in 200 IPL games

CSK have lost the fewest wickets in the middle-overs (12) while RR have lost the most (27). Interestingly, both score at the same rate in this phase – 7.68.

Sanju Samson, the man-of-the-match in the reverse fixture, has scored just 77 runs in his last seven innings and has batted just 73 balls.

That’s all from 37th game of the IPL 2020 and hope you all will like this information. We will be back tomorrow with all the details of 38th game which will played between Kings XI Punjab and Delhi Capitals.
