Durgesh Tiwary’s View: When I watched the trailer of this film planned to watch this movie on its release date as loved the trailer and liked previous movies of Vidyut Jammwal.
An adrenaline junkie journeys from Mumbai’s streets to the extreme sports arena in Poland, fueled by a dream: win the championship and honor his late brother. His path is riddled with danger, a ruthless rival, and a secret threatening to turn the competition deadly.
Crakk has exhilarating action that is genuinely fun to watch. The scale and the hardwork is visible and it does look like the makers have left no stone unturned to ensure that the audiences take home a very interesting visual experience. Vidyut Jammwal has established himself as one of Bollywood’s top action stars. His fans love him for trying something out-of-the-box every time. Taking his commitment to providing entertainment through action forward, Vidyut brings this movie. Despite the narrative shortcomings, Crakk shines in its action choreography and cinematography. From gritty Mumbai streets to Mad Max-inspired landscapes, the visuals are captivating. The film also excels in showcasing daredevil moves, making you gasp and hold your breath. Daredevils evading swinging wrecking balls, escaping deadly hounds, etc., are captured well. Arjun Rampal brings menace to the villainous Dev and gets enough opportunity to show off his brawn and stunts.
On the flipside, the writing of this film is all haywire. It feels as though there was no script in place for the film. Another issue is the length. At 156 minutes, it is too long for a film of this kind. Secondly, the film is not just about the competition. Between the three races, a lot happens, and it is not exciting. It would also leave viewers scratching their heads. The songs of the film are not good at all. You will be left holding your head after seeing the song that comes at the end. The emotions don’t connect since majority of the film plays out more like a parody. On the whole, the actioner lacks the soul, strength and body to carry the weight of good content. Overall, movie delivers on the thrilling action front, offering a refreshing glimpse into the world of extreme sports on the big screen. Action without strong core emotions is of practically no use. My view on this movie Time Pass only if you are big Vidyut Jammwal fans and likes breath taking stunts.
